The 2003 BET Walk of Fame honoring Aretha.
Aretha had been sitting in the place where it was held for two hours while people like Mary J. Blige and the Isley Brothers serenading her. When Aretha finally took the stage (now remember it was hot inside), she did, I believe, three numbers, she did "Respect" and then did one of her early R&B hits, "Today I Sung the Blues", the moment it got to the end is when she starts doing what you see in the clip and then takes the weave off! She then went on to finish with a gospel song. Aretha has been known to flip her weaves off at concerts.

This is the infamous clip:
You have to watch the entire vid, it's funny, just wait until she gets to the end of "Today I Sung the Blues".

Comedy. That's why I love Aretha and Patti, they don't give a fuck. You can tell if they were still just gospel singers, they'd be like the Clark Sisters are now, hell they influenced the Clark Sisters!

You see the other gospel ladies be looking at 'em like "mmm-mmm-mmm " Especially the elder gospel ladies like Dorothy Norwood and Shirley Caesar.
