Another great duet by Slick Rick and Lady T. Although it isn't my favorite duet they did, its still a dope track. Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

Originally,Rick wanted to record this song with Diana Ross! He was gonna produce some tracks for her but when those plans fell through,he gave the songs to Teena instead. This is one of the songs.

Oh really. I knew of the Diana album going bust, but I didn't know this was one of the songs. Cool. Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

THAT would have been tragic! It might have been an interesting collaboration Rick wanted Diana to get "funky" and he even came up with an idea for the album cover: Diana is at a cemetary, wearing jeans and a wild hairdo as she stares down into a casket filled with her old wigs, jewelry and glitzy outfits. On this album,Diana would be shedding her glamourous superstar image,re-inventing herself into a hip, funky, ghetto chick with funky jams produced by Rick. I don't know if it would have worked, but I wish it had been recorded

I think a few of those RCA albums are very good: 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love' (1981) 'Swept Away' (1984) It was downhill after '85.

THAT would have been tragic! , more than likely yes. But Rick may have been able to pull off a decent album, especially at the time, he was on fire. Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

I don't doubt Rick, but Diana?? Just picture her singing, "Baby, you too are a mellow fellow... & you're as rare as vintage wine..." I just can't see it, it wouldn't be nearly as good as Teena
