Well I'm young so I'll say this most people my age see Madonna as a big famewhore. Hardcandy flopped I think and I don't remember the singles being a hit. Even Mariah is doing better on the charts than her right now. But she does do well with touring. Btw, I do think MJ's kids could become successful if they had talent. The interest is already there.

How much did it sell in the end? I don't care if it went #1. & that first single with Justin was the only one that got publicity. There's no reason too because she had songs with Pharrell and Kanye but it just went under the radar.

Then we'll excuse your youth in lieu of just not seeing the big picture. Madonna is more than a famewhore. You don't stick around this long by just being a famewhore. She's been putting out albums for a gazillion years, been honored in a million ways, and had a few decent movies. Paris Hilton is a famewhore. Spencer and Heidi are famewhores. They have no talent, they dabble in everything, and accomplish nothing. Yet young people love these losers based on what? They're famous for being famous. Madonna is famous for pushing buttons, creating great music that we still can name today in one note. So famewhore? No. Good business gal? Oh hell yes. The fact that you're still talking about her, and you're so young.....proves the point spot on.

School part 2: Hard Candy debuted at #1 in 37 countries, including the US, and the UK. (Can anyone even NAME 37 countries off the top of their heads?) In the Netherlands alone, ON THE FIRST DAY, it sold over 60,000 copies. FIRST DAY. To top that, it sold 100,000 copies on the US on the FIRST DAY, not the first week. There were 10 different formats released from Vinyl to Special Edition CD set. The tour from the album is STILL going on in its second leg, over in the UK.

School part 3: Mariah is releasing a new album and single. Madonna isn't. That's why Mariah is on the charts, and Madonna isn't right now. If you're going to spin a story, tell the truth and let the people decide. But don't twist it to prove a point.

Mariah still makes hits except for that stink E=MC2 album but I'll Be Loving You Long Time and Touch My Body were hits. I never heard Give it to me on the radio. Madonna's songs don't register with young people anymore. & I'm strictly talking about the U.S. here. & you named Socialites...modern day Edie Sedgewick types. & young people love those losers to make fun of them. No one genuinely likes them. Except for maybe Lindsay Lohan. Madonna is still considered a famewhore by young people. Young people like Britney, the Jonas Brothers and the like.

The only good song on E=MC2 was "I'm That Chick", IMO.

I heard all the Madonna singles no the radio stations here. Kiss FM, Fly92, etc Just because you didn't hear them doesn't mean they weren't played. I live in the US and listen to the same radio stations you do (when I can tolerate it).

Don't even get me started on Britney's fame whoring.

LOL, she's guilty too but people LOVE her. I don't get why especially since she doesn't dance anymore. But what I mean is I don't remember Hard Candy songs doing well on the charts. Confessions On A Danclefloor or whatever it's called did better imo.& I only like I Stay In Love on E=MC2, the rest is trash.

Yeah, but no one cares about them. Sadly, the industry would be all over MJ's kids. You see all those "Paris is going to be a star" articles that have popped up recently. I hope these kids stay far away from the industry.

Some of them are really talented. Rebbie's son has a deal, and Tito's son is a songwriter

all 3 of Tito's sons are talented their band was actually quite big or at least it was in Europe in 1996 they were the second biggest selling band in Europe after the Spice Girls though they havent done anything in years and apparently they have all moved on to other things

what with people from the 60s and 70s?

Isn't Paul McCartney a mega-szat with mega-success? His last studio album sold 1.5 mio! he's selling out hundred thousands of seats for his tours.

it sold about 3.5 mio copied. Not bad if you consider that 2008's most sold album sold 5 mio copies.

4 Minutes was a huge hit, whoever it featured.

4 minutes is the song with Justin & Timbaland. It was the perfect timing for her because Timbaland was on a hit streak. I guess I hang around too many fans of young artists. Most consider Christina's Back to Basics a flop because it only sold 2 mill. But anyways I looked it up on wiki and I was right. The song with Justin, 4 minutes was a hit while Give it to me was #57 a flop,Beat Goes on was #97 and Miles Away didn't even chart in the U.S. Miles Away is a good song too so if it didn't do well it's because people just aren't interested.

I would hope that they succeed in whatever they do, but thats not to say that they might not seek a career in the entertainment world. In whatever they choose to do, they will be forever in the media just because their father was the greatest entertainer in the world. Sad but true. I don't think their lives will ever be normal.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I think Michael's children should be allowed to be children. If after they graduate from school, they want to be entertainers that's fine.
One of the reasons why Madonna has been able to remain relatively balanced and in control, is that she did not go into the music business until she was in her 20's.
Being a child star really messed up Michael. I hope his kids are able to have a normal childhood and not work in the entertainment business until they are older.

There will only be one and only one Michael Jackson.

His kids should enjoy their childhood, and make a decision about whatever they want to pursue when they're finally old enough.

3T. I bought their first album on the strength of 'Why" and "Anything" and ended up liking the whole album. I bought their second album too

I think Lisa Marie would have been much more succesful if she had of released her albums a bit younger. Not only because of her youth but because the style of music she does was more popular in the 90's. If the Jackson kids do it young, like early 20's, I could see it working. I can't even imagine what kind of music they would do though

A few albums that, while they hinted at a sound kind of like his father's, had none of the magic of his father's music.
