I love the spooky intro and the funkiness of "Heartbreat Hotel"...I also like "Walk Right Now" If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

I sometimes feel, this is not much known. It's the perfect pop ballad. I couldn't agree with you gents more. "Time Waits For No One" is such a beautifully arranged song, perfect. The bass line/chords, the steel string acoustic, and nylon guitar(s) playing. Everytime I listen to that song I hear something new. "Triumph" has stood the test of time for me. I'm with Timmy "The Jacksons" get my nod for their most underrated work.

What about 2300 Jackson Street. I've just got this and am listening to it now and it sounds pretty good - is this an underrated gem? I believe Teddy Riley and Babyface on production which was a smart Move. Currently liking 2300 Jackson Street, Nothing that Compares 2 U, Maria and Art of Madness.

Different Kind of Lady written by The Jackson, I've Got to Find Me A Girl, Jump For Joy, I must have been the only one to buy it; well I begged my mom to buy it because at that time, I had to have anything Jackson.
I brought Going Places too, I must have been the second person to ever buy the album. Those 4 albums that the Jacksons did after they left Motown are wonderful gems. Unfortunately, too many people think those songs were not commercial enough(which is ok by me, the less commercial the more of a hidden gem it is to me ) and hence they didn't get the exposure they deserve. Having said that Destiny and Triumph didn't do too badly sales wise. [Edited 7/25/09 1:39am] LOL @ I must have been the second person to ever buy the album. Destiny and Triumph actually did very well in preThriller terms. I love Destiny, especially the title track, but I love, love, love Triumph - I can play it all the way through without stop and then play it again. Destiny was Jacksons "I've got something to prove" album and Triumph was the "We proved it" album. With the exception of Off the Wall, I have always preferred the Jacksons/J5 over Michael the solo artist.

Oh, and I think their most underrated album is Triumph. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

The fact that Victory was not included in the recent remasters along side Destiny and Triumph is a damn shame!
It would have been real nice to finally see a cd release of the 12" Dance Mix of Torture alongside the 12" Dance Mix of State of Shock as bonus tracks.

Ted did two tracks, the title cut and She (Randy solo.) The LaFace team did Nothin' (That Compares 2 U) and Jermaine's Artista partner, Michael Omartian did 3 cuts. The Jacksons did everything else and Jermaine did one track alone. WaterInYourBath said: Oh, and I think their most underrated album is Triumph.
Most consider this their best LP, no way is it underrated. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Most Jacksons fans and old school heads from that time period consider this their best LP, no way is it underrated. None of the Jacksons' albums post-J5 get much talk in MJ bios.

Hehe...seriously, I also think The Jacksons is a very underrated/overlooked album.
I kinda want to agree with the people saying Victory is there most underrated, but to me it always had that "various artist compilation" vibe going on. Except in Victory's case all the artists were related. I mean, Michael didn't want to do it, and it showed - "Be Not Always" is a buzzkiller if ever there was one. Shit for the longest time after getting the LP back in 84 I could not play that song without crying [Edited 7/27/09 0:43am] Facebook, I haz it - https://www.facebook.com/Nikster1969
