That's gonna be the norm from now on....most artists won't sell too much more than 300,000."Gold" is the new platinum, lol. There will be a real struggle just to reach 500k.

LOL,I don't know why so many artists are doing this....announcing a new album, saying that it's "part one" of a set,and promising to release "part two" a few months later. It seems like a silly promotional gimmick.Maxwell is doing the same thing with his new album.I bet that he,like Erykah, hasn't even started recording the follow-up,lol.

• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Well maybe you don't care for "Funkadelic" because to me that was the blueprint for Erykah's CD.

About fargin' time, Ms. Badu, shit. Damn, and she ain't even recorded the thing yet. disbelief I know she just had baby Mars, but damn, really...really? confused So all that stuff about 'Part 2' coming out at the end of '08 was an exaggerated truth...commonly referred to as a 'lie'? I'll forgive her this one time, but it had better be just as good as 'New Amerykah' and if she goes all Lauryn Hill on me, I will be forced to jump ship. lol

a few months back, via twitter, she said she wasn't sure if she would be releasing the original New Amerykah: Pt 2 or go back in the studio and record
something new.

who knows what she ended up deciding to do.

She should not have hyped everyone up by promising 3 albums in a year span.

All it did was make her look bad and unfocused when Pts 2 and 3 didn't arrive.

I do like Pt 1, even if I don't play it often.
