Never Can Say Goodbye/ J 5 or Isaac Hayes Which version do you like better?
I like both versions but its just something about the way Michael sings it. Its one of my favorite J5 songs. So I'll cast my vote for J5. Prince believes he is a musical prophet that has been chosen by Jehova to guide his fans to the "truth".

James Brown did a version for his "Get On The Good Foot" LP I believe. PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

I've liked every version that I've heard, but the original is still the best. It's my favorite J5 song. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Black Moses always put his groovy spin on songs. Ike could take a 3 minute song and stretch it out to 15 mins and kill it I am partial to both versions

The most supreme version of course is by The Communards / Jummy Summerville

Oh hell yes! Michael killed it with the vocals on that song at Motown 25. I wish he/J5 had recorded a proper studio version as an adult. [Edited 7/20/09 16:51pm] "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

The J5 and Isaac's versions are tied up for me followed by Gloria's, I loved the disco instrumental break in her version.
