The contract riders are so over the top for artists

Ever wonder why there aren't more concerts with great couplings? You should see some of the contract riders of these artists. In addition to wanting bloated performance fees (an many of themn do track dates, i.e. Trey Songz), they want
dark colored, tinte window SUVs, first class airline tickets, 4 star hotels with presidential suites, food spreads like the last supper, 50 comp tickets in front rows, line napkins and fancy silverware, black towels only, sofas, hallogen lamps, specific bottled waters, etc.
WTF does any of this have to do with the music?
Recently a ceratin act wanted 25k to perform 45 minutes, their rider (which is the addendum to the main contract) would cost an additional 10k. The facility (venue) for the show wnated 70k to rent it.
No wonder ticket prices are so high - the things these egomaniac acts want are unreal.
