I think what could be construed as "being sick of MJ" is really just growing tired of seeing the same handful of videos and media clips over and over.

I'd like to see some vintage or rare stuff, like The Wiz, Captain EO, Moonwalker, even the Ghosts video for a change.

would be neat if Epcot did a limited run of Captain Eo again.

I know this could be a touchy subject.
But I had it, I'm done with the whole MJ revival.
I can't hear Billie Jean or Thriller anymore.
I walk into a bar, and they're playing "black or white" and people going crazy for it. Obviously they still can't have enough.
If the song would have been played before MJ passed away, the same people would not have been going crazy for it.
Hypocrites?
I think so.
I'm sure his recent death caused every person that ever liked his music to like his music to the extreme one more time.
I have to admit, it happened to me as well.
But now I'm over it, and actually had enough MJ for a while.
Anyone else here feels like this?

Nah. First time in years I've gone into stores and they're playing Beat It or The Way You Make Me Feel. As false as these sentiments are, his music really clears the bogans out so it's thumbs up! with me.

I am tired of having to sort through 6, 7, 8 maybe more MJ threads in Music:Non-Prince to get to threads that are about anyone else.

I was happier when the sticky was the only MJ thread. No offence to anyone that wants to discuss the case, the music, the videos or whatever, but if I wanted to go to a forum that was full of MJ threads, I'd join a Michael Jackson website thank you very much. confused

No, I hate the fact they started to play his videos after he died ,they played it for one week when all the media was covering then they stopped , which means they only did it for RATINGS, They don't play his videos anymore, they play some hip-hop shit.

This is Non-Prince music forum.....

If anyone doesn't like the Mj threads, then don't click on it, its no sicence rocket, I think anyone is capable of pressing the ignore button, don't click on it if you don't like it,I do this with threads that I do not like.

Plus, Mj died 4 weeks ago, it's natural he gets all that attention.

No shit! lol But this is my point, it is NOT a Michael Jackson forum.
Fair play one or two threads, but flooding the forum is unnecessary.

It's having to wade through them first to get to the decent threads that is the problem though..

seeingvoices12 said:

It's natural he gets the attention, yes, not natural that it has to be spread across so many threads though.

There have been 9 parts of the "Michael Jackson RIP" thread and a thread to appreciate his music and what it means to you, both stickies.
If that's not enough room for people to place their thoughts and they have to start a new thread, that is often as much to do with ego as anything else - they don't want their oh-so-important comment buried in a massively popular thread, or they just want the kudos of starting their own thread..whatever.
There is every chance to discuss all aspects of Michael Jackson's life and death without starting yet another damn thread.
This is not an exit

Can I ask you a question?

Why does that bother you so much? why you worried about this?

If the board was flooding with "madonna " threads for example , I wouldn't give a fuck.

You guys worry about such silly things.

Tired of the constant news stories and gossip disguised as real news.

Tired of all the people that jumped on the bandwagon after he left here. (I'm not a fan, BTW)

Tired of all the records that got sold after he died and the people that didn't buy them while he was here.

Tired of some of his fans making excuses.

Tired of all the fake celebrities that wanted to just be seen at his memorial service that didn't know the guy.

Tired of all his supposed friends and some of his family being vultures and selling every story and every picture.

Pretty much.

I'm in the Family Dollar and they have a Michael Jackson cd playing. I remember everyone would laugh at me because I carried a mj cd with me everywhere I went in case I met him. I still carry it with me. This is how I will put it, I have ALWAYS been and will be a fan, been buying and collecting his things since I was 12. And when I will find something with him on it I got like an excitement, a rush if you will because it was sooo rare to find ANYTHING unless it was the untrustworthy internet. Now for me it's dull. Like he's everywhere and the thrill, rush is gone. Like I mean I love him all day nonstop, it's just not the same.. I barely listen to his music. People are buying MJ things up the ass I believe for the worth and money and it is taking things away from real fans that been there. Like on the waste of time awards(bet) they were like mj is ours! He's black! WHAT!? I'm like, ugh weren't you the same people that were talking about his skin saying he was ashamed of being black? Get it together. It's like I don't even get the excitement or thrill anymore when - hear him on the radio. I remember every year on his bday I will call my local radio and say play a song for mj bday, they will laugh at me, him, and hang up on me. THEN when he died they wouldn't shut the hell up about it, wonder if they will do it this year?

I know how you feel, it was like MJ was special, and NOW that everyone is trying act like a fan, it makes you feel like you don't even want to be apart of what these "fake fans" are doing.

Real fans loved him daily and always, and he was something special to us. Now that michael is dead, he is now a "fad" to people who didn't care about him when he was alive. I hear people listening to him non-stop as well. Not only that, i see thug looking guys with MJ ringtones such as Dirty Diana. Its ridiculous. Michael Needed this love and support when he was ALIVE, now he is dead can't even see this stuff. Im very angry about that. It makes me dislike "new fans" rolleyes
