I missed it but I'll catch the replay. Right now I'm reading the Jackson Family Values book. I don't quite know what to make of these people...Katherine included. eek

What's exactly is the problem?

In the book, Jermaine's ex wife implies that the family with the exception of Michael, Janet, Marlon, Rebbie, and somewhat Tito are selfish, jealous, and golddiggers, especially Jermaine and Joe

Michael's story would've been really different if they were dropped from CBS and had he agreed to leave them at the time. He did the right decision at the time. Besides MJ didn't wanna leave yet.

One of the many different turns the Jackson family could have taken.

-What if they get that deal with Capitol Records in 1967?
-What if they decide to go on the Jack Frost show instead of the Motown audition in 1968?
-What if the J5 stay at Motown in 1975?
-What if Michael decides to leave his brothers after 1977?
-What is the Jacksons are let go from their CBS deal in 1978?

It leaves you with an imagination of what may have been had they decided on each of those five things. What if they had gotten with Stax? hmmm

Two things I know for sure had they gottin' with STAX.

-1. They would not have had that pop success straight of the bat like they did at Motown.

-2. STAX would have kept them in that raw form Motown had the boys get rid of by mid 1970.

exclaim Plus they would've been on a Sam & Dave tip with Isaac & David writing and producing them.

The widescreen version of this should be remastered and released on DVD like that movie "Spy Kids: 3D Adventure," or whatever it was called. That way, we would be able to watch the film on our televisions with 3D glasses and see the cool effects, like people did at Disneyland! biggrin

Really him, I have Seth Riggs audio tapes I use myself, definitely is Seth too. Speech Level Singing is his famous technique. All those warm up exercises I hear are also in the book I got.

Wow, that's awesome! lol When I went to Disneyworld when I was little, it had already been closed at Epcot (it was replaced by another 3D film in 1994). And I never got the chance to go to Disneyland before '97 to see it there either. mad It's amazing how long EO lasted at all the Disney parks though. It's the coolest theme park attraction ever, lol.

You forgot adulterous, abusive and in Jermaine's case a total deadbeat as a father and a poor excuse as a man!

That's the second time I've tried to watch Captain Eo, but I still don't understand anything that's happening in it. confused lol

It's interesting to see him in that one though, because his physical appearance is somewhere between the Thriller and Bad eras, and there's so very little proper footage of that "break" -period available. I'm not just referring to his skin colour or the nose, but the way he moves and his gestures are also like a mixture between Thriller and Bad material. He changed quite a lot in that regard too between those albums, but this thing sort of "fills up the gap" quite conveniently.

btw,

It's a shame that the Pepsi TV ad that utilized the Dangerous album cover imagery was not turnt into a proper music video. Had it been used for example for the single release of the title track, I think it could have been one of his best videos. Visually at least.

I believe it because imo since MJ's death Jermaine has exposed himself. Why does he keep insisting on burying Michael at Neverland when MJ himself said that the place is tainted and he never wants to go back there? He wants money and doesn't care about his brother's wishes imo. & I heard that Katherine is really passive, (I haven't read it yet myself) which again isn't surprising because how could she still be married to Joe? She needs to grow a spine. I could see when the kids were young she couldn't support herself but what is the excuse now? & speaking of the brothers I saw an interview with one of Michael's security guards from Access Hollywood which I can't find now but he said that once the brothers were at the hotel where MJ was staying looking for him. MJ told him not to tell the brothers that he was there because they kept asking him to go on tour with them and he didn't want to.

That´s weird. I don´t know, maybe she is or was involved. Who knows who lived with him? What I find weird is also how in the world could have he been married to Lisa for few months without anyone knowing it because when the news broke, Mike´s family and Priscilla denied it cuase they simply didn´t know about it. Janet was married for 10 years and noone knew. I am not saying that he was married, we would have probably known. I really don´t know. There are just two stories and maybe one day we´ll find out the truth.

Why won't the Jacksons just tell the truth? That's why people believe they always lying in the first place. I find it strange that even a family that famous always have two or three or four different stories that some of them (Mike included) always tell in terms of their private lives. When they mention anything halfway, why would they be shocked that anyone else will question that? They play this "figure it out" game for so long. They could just refuse to talk about it altogether but when you do what they do, it leaves you with more questions than answers. This is why people find it difficult to wonder why Michael isn't buried right now. Do they really know anything or are they just saying stuff to be keeping secrets because of the media? What is it? And why are some of them willing to tell stories to tabloids? Confusing shit.

Exactly! Their refusal to tell the truth is what creates all these silly rumors in the first place. They go around keeping all these secrets, the press finds out about it,it gets reported in the media and the Jacksons remain silent. The story doesnt die. Most of these bizarre rumors would have been forgotten years ago,if the Jacksons didn't always act as if they have something to hide.
