I wonder if this is true.

Prince, 12, 'traumatised' after being forced to watch Michael Jackson die

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 2:11 AM on 24th July 2009

Michael Jackson's eldest son was made to watch the pop star die as his doctor attempted to revive him.

The Jackson family revealed that the singer's doctor Conrad Murray wanted a witness to his unsuccessful attempts at cardiac resuscitation.

Prince Michael, 12, was said to be 'traumatised' after being forced to watch the final moments of his father's life.
Prince with his father Michael Jackson in Los Angeles just 22 days before his death

The new evidence comes after police raided the Houston clinic owned by Dr Murray, 56, looking for evidence of manslaughter.

Authorities are investigating several doctors who associated with Jackson to see if they inappropriately provided him with prescription drugs.

A family friend of the Jackson family, Dr Steven Hoefflin has questioned the motives of Dr Murray.

He told The Sun newspaper that on the night Michael died, Dr Murray called Prince to the room where he was performing CPR on his father.

'The family have told me Dr Murray ensured Prince Michael understood the CPR procedure and that he was doing it correctly,' Dr Hoefflin said, speaking on behalf of the Jackson family.

'It is the family's belief that this was intended to show a member of Michael's family that he was trying to bring Michael back to life.'

Claims: Dr Steven Hoefflin (left) believes it was wrong of Dr Conrad Murray to force Prince to watch him attempt to resuscitate Michael Jackson

But Dr Hoefflin, a plastic surgeon who treated Michael for 25 years, said it would have been a 'horrific and very traumatic' experience for Prince.

He said Michael's mother Katherine was 'sickened' by what happened.

The plastic surgeon has claimed that Michael had been dead for at least two hours before he arrived in an ambulance at the star's rented mansion.

Dr Hoefflin believes the singer suffered a heart attack after being given sedative Propofol at bedtime.

I have been told this by the family and if you know anything about the drug - which should not be administered by anyone other than a trained anaesthesiologist and in a clinical setting - this is insane and dangerous,' he said.

Family reaction: Michael Jackson and his mother Katherine, who was said to be 'sickened' by Dr Murray's motives

Dr Hoefflin also revealed that police searched Michael's house for a second time and found Propofol hidden in a cabinet.

Police and federal drug agents have also seized documents and computer records from Dr Murray's clinic.

They left with 21 documents and a 'forensic image' of a computer hard drive, Dr Murray's lawyer Ed Chernoff said.

He added: 'The search warrant authorised law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believe constituted evidence of the offence of manslaughter.'

Dr Murray was the personal physician Michael hired in May to look after him as he prepared for a series of comeback concerts in London.

The cause of Jackson's death at the age of 50 on June 25 has yet to be determined.

The coroner's office in Los Angeles is expected to release the results of the singer's post-mortem examination and toxicology tests next week.

The Jackson family ordered a second private autopsy and are also awaiting the results.

Speculation has grown that they will show Jackson was on strong medication at the time of his death. The powerful anaesthetic Propofol was reportedly found at Jackson's home by investigators.

To date, police have remained tight-lipped about the investigation, neither confirming nor denying the possibility of criminal charges being made.

To prove manslaughter, prosecutor would have to show that there were reckless actions that created a risk of death or great bodily injury.

Michael Jackson Autobiography 'Moonwalk' To Be Reprinted
July 23

A judge on Thursday cleared the way for Michael Jackson's autobiography, "Moonwalk," to return to store shelves in the United States, Canada and Europe.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff approved a request by the temporary administrators of the pop icon's estate to enter into new publishing deals.

Details of the agreements were filed under seal. But the deals will allow the 1988 book to be reprinted in the United States, Canada, England, Germany and France.

Publishing rights in the United States and Canada will be given to Shaye Areheart, who was the original editor of "Moonwalk." Her company is a part of Random House Inc.

"Moonwalk" has been out of print for more than a decade. It was originally published by Doubleday and was acquired by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Other publishers will handle the overseas releases.

The "Moonwalk" rights are the first deal that the temporary administrators of Jackson's estate have brought to Beckloff for approval. The estate is being handled by attorney John Branca and music executive and Jackson family friend John McClain.

Court records state "Moonwalk" could hit store shelves in France by August. The records don't indicate when sales in other countries would begin.

Damn it looks like Steve Hoefflin and Dr.Klein are going at each other in the media. Doctor war eek

Access Hollywood has now reported on this story:

http://www.accesshollywoo...icle_20954

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Dr. Steven Hoefflin, a longtime friend and doctor Michael Jackson, has claimed that the King of Pop “had lethal amounts of Demerol and Propofol in his body” at the time of his death.

In an interview on Thursday with Access Hollywood, Hoefflin, who performed surgery on Jackson after he sustained second and third degree burns while filming his 1984 Pepsi commercial, claimed he was speaking out on the authorization of his late friend’s mother, Katherine Jackson, to put rumors to rest.

Hoefflin claimed he last provided care for Michael in 1998, and participated in a 2002 intervention for the star.

Hoefflin claimed to Access that according to a reliable source of his, Jackson’s toxicology report indicated Michael “had lethal amounts of Demerol and Propofol in his body” when he died on June 25. Results from the LA Coroner’s official autopsy of Jackson have yet to be publicly released.

Hoefflin claimed that the Demerol came from Dr. Arnold Klein – Michael’s dermatologist – and the Propofol came from Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson’s personal physician in the weeks before his death.

Further, Hoefflin claimed it was Jackson himself who told him about his heavy drug intake — at the time of his intervention.

“Michael told me Dr. Klein was injecting him with massive amounts of Demerol” in 2002, Hoefflin claimed.

And authorities searched Murray’s Houston office on Wednesday as they looked for what a Murray lawyer described as “evidence… of manslaughter.”

On July 6, Murray’s lawyer stated on his firm’s Web site, “Dr. Murray didn’t prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson.”

When asked by Access if the family planned to “go after” those they believed were involved in Jackson’s death, Hoefflin said they would.

“Of course they are,” he said, adding an additional claim that Klein had given Jackson a number of drugs over the years.

“Dr. Klein is the one who made his face white by using Benoquin, a permanent bleaching agent,” Hoefflin claimed. “[Michael] had Lupus and it was made worse by Dr. Klein’s massive injections of collagen. Patients who have lupus should not have collagen… For many years, Dr. Klein was using the very powerful cortisone Celestine to inject into the deep pimples on Michael’s face and nose – cortisone injections can thin out tissue in the face. I told him that he should not have any further injections… as it was thinning out his face and nose… [And Klein] was prescribing him narcotics under an alias name, Omar Arnold.”

When reached for comment by Access, a spokesperson for Klein released a statement on Thursday, which did not directly address the allegations.

“The Coroner’s Office again confirmed that Dr. Klein is not the subject of the death investigation,” the spokesperson said in Thursday’s statement. “Dr. Klein should not to be cast with the lot of other physicians who may or may not have anything to do with any investigation into the death of Mr. Jackson. The Coroner’s Office has a security hold on the investigation and will not further comment. Dr. Klein is doing the same so as not to jeopardize the integrity of the Coroner’s investigation.

“Dr. Klein has been maligned in the press by sources who have profit making agendas and/or have been paid by media companies who have given them an unfettered public forum in which to spout fiction and innuendo for cash,” the spokesperson continued.

Hoefflin maintained to Access he has not been paid for his interviews — including one in Britain’s The Sun, which ran on Thursday.

A spokesperson for Murray also responded with a statement to Access on Thursday.

“Until we get tangible results, we are not going to respond to someone’s theory about how Michael Jackson died. We don’t know how Michael Jackson died,” the spokesperson stated.

During his interview with Access, Hoefflin said the Jackson family would also go after unofficial biographer Ian Halperin, who just released his new book, “Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson,” earlier this month. Halperin has claimed in his book that the pop star was gay and that greed led to his death.

Hoefflin said fans should “boycott the book and burn it on the street.” Access was unable to immediately reach Halperin for comment.

Denying the gay allegation, Hoefflin, who Michael lived with the doctor during the time surrounding his 1987 album “Bad,” also said he previously took the singer to the Playboy mansion.

“All the time, Michael was commenting on the beautiful women,” he said.

Hoefflin also put down a number of stories circulating about the pop star, including one report that Michael had a hole where his nose should have been.

The LA coroner made an “involuntary error,” Hoefflin said of the report, noting Jackson wore a compressive tape that he used to shape his nose on a nightly basis — not a prosthetic, which he thought may have confused the coroner.

“I believe that the coroner’s office is profoundly competent and did a commendable job in their postmortem examination of Michael Jackson,” he said. “It is my belief that the Los Angeles Coroner has made involuntary errors in their description of the anatomical findings.”

Hoefflin said he has not been questioned by the police, but he’s “sure [he] will be a witness.”

Finally, Hoefflin denied doing the last plastic surgery on Jackson, which he claimed was done by another Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and attended by Klein.

A spokesperson for Jackson family attorney Londell McMillan was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access.

What's the point? The book is from 1988 and old.

Why not? I'm glad for it.

Moon Walk is a great read. One of the most touching moments is in the last few pages where he talks about stars who have died too soon due to drugs and alcohol and he says something to the effect of "but I know the pressure that you can be put under, I've been there myself." (it's been years since I've read it so paraphrasing)

He's more loyal and respectful to the Jackson family though. That's what I meant and its nice how he criticized Ian Halperin too, and blasted him on the gay stuff about MJ.

Klein hates the Jackson family, and said he wanted Rowe to get custody of the children, instead of the Jacksons.

Anyone who thinks Rowe is better than the Jacksons for parenting needs to get their brain checked out.

The woman who sold her children mad and refused to let her kids call her mom.

Either '82 or '83, it's around that timeframe so it could've been early since MJ lost a bit of weight and his hair was more curly.
