it would take me days to mention all the problems the other brothers had. like the fact that all of them( except marlon) cheated on their wives. jermaine allegedly tried to rape hazel. one of them went to jail for domestic violence on their wife and child ( randy i think). And lets not forget randy and jermaines "uncle daddy" situation. i could go on for days.

What about Bill Cosby? Seems nice but he'll probably be like "don't play dumb with me!" I'm sure you've seen his comedy routines. His father was more stern than Joe was. [Edited 7/21/09 17:16pm]

There's a video clip too on this link. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/h...160277.stm Jermaine Jackson has broken down in tears while giving an interview about his late brother, Michael Jackson. Speaking on French television, Jermaine cried as he asked people to stop using "crazy names" for his brother and to "leave him alone". "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

People often wonder why Michael was the most affected (that we know) by the childhood he had, with the threat of (and actual) beatings, ridicule, etc.
What a lot of people fail to comprehend that there was always extra pressure put on Michael. Since he was 5 he was the draw card in the Jackson 5, and since the age of 10 he was financially responsible for their well being. With Michael at the helm of the Jackson 5 he was the main breadwinner in the family. How messed up is that? Can you imagine being 10 years old and having the conscious pressure that your whole family's livelihood depends on you singing, dancing, working, rehearsing and doing as you are told. As talented as the rest of the family was, and I have a lot of respect for the talents of all the brothers, it was Michael that the fans were coming to see. Little Michael with the cute smile and winning voice. I think Joe knew this and thus was overbearing and over controlling of Michael. He was also the youngest in the troop. The siblings after him (Randy and Janet) benefited maybe from the brothers being away on tour so often and were left under the more loving guidance of Katherine. Time and time again all family members told us that growing up Michael was the most sensitive of the family and really took things to heart. And no I am not saying his childhood treatment was responsible for all his downfalls, as he brought on many himself, but the effects of growing up as lil Michael - family breadwinner surely had a profound impact on his life.
