Jermaine Jackson Continues Plight to Bury Brother at Neverland Ranch
Link
July 21, 2009

Jermaine Jackson, 54, said the family is still split over where the star should laid to rest following his death last month.

Relatives are torn between burying the singer at his Neverland ranch near Santa Barbara, California, or in a public graveyard in Los Angeles.

Other family members have argued against burying Jackson, 50, at Neverland, claiming that he never wanted to return to theme park ranch because he felt it had been tainted by the child abuse allegations levelled against him.

Jermaine commented: "Michael really achieved that Disneyland wonderment feeling at Neverland, it was his creation.

"Any problems you had when you went there would go away. That's why I think it should be his final resting place.

"I'm totally against the idea of a public cemetery. He's done so much to make the world special and he needs to be somewhere special.

"He should be somewhere where it's safe and where he isn't sharing the ground with other people who are not good human beings.

"At those places they bury people who have done bad things in their life. Why should he be in the company of these bad people?"

He added that a Neverland burial would make it easier for the family to handle security issues.

The final say is thought to come down to Jackson's parents.

If the Neverland burial goes ahead, it is likely to turn the 2,500-acre estate into a Graceland-style memorial for fans to visit.

Exactly! What are they going say? What the hell is the point? And you're right people are just lying and fabricating crap that doesn't even seem validated, in my opinion. As for Joe, he's just trying to get publicity out of his son's death while making a fool of himself, especially last night spit. But, on the real, this situation itself is getting out of hand. I just hope the other Jacksons get there peace soon boxed especially LaToya, I think I actually feel sorry fo her.

Michael Jackson TV special falls apart
01:43 PM PT, Jul 21 2009

Frenzied international interest in all things Michael Jackson notwithstanding, it appears there won't be a TV special this fall.

AEG Live, the promoter behind Jackson's 50 "This Is It" comeback concerts in London, has been negotiating for several days with movie studios for the film rights to the concert rehearsal footage as well as broadcast rights to a tie-in television special.

Although NBC was interested in the project as recently as Monday, and other networks showed interest last week, all of the networks balked over AEG’s $20-million price tag for a show that would not include any new or exclusive footage of Jackson performing, several network sources said. Originally, AEG had tried to sell the special to air Aug. 29 -- Michael Jackson's birthday -- which falls on a Saturday.

But logistical problems -- which include Saturday being the lowest-rated night of the week for TV -- compelled AEG to stipulate that networks program the special in September when TV viewers return to their couches in high numbers, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak on the matter. Some TV networks also feared that the TV special would be too similar in content to the documentary film that will be made out of the rehearsal footage.

Over the weekend, Sony Pictures emerged as the front runner for the "This Is It" footage and the film project. An announcement about that film deal is expected today, the source said. The movie would be directed by choreographer Kenny Ortega ("High School Musical"), who had been working with Jackson as the director of the "This Is It" tour. The film would be released in October.

If AEG had gotten its way, the TV special also would have been directed by Ortega The plans were for a superstar ensemble that could have included Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and will.i.am performing Jackson's hits using the costumes, choreography, and special-effects-driven illusions engineered for the singer's comeback tour.

But no footage of the King of Pop.

"And the cost of that thing is $20 million? With no Michael Jackson? Ha!" said one network source who requested anonymity.

AEG did not immediately return calls for comment.

Is it just me, or is this whole thing creepy as fuck? confused

Not only creepy, but the speculations seem far fetched in some places. I can't picture Timberlake sharing a stage with Janet to rip off of her brother's legacy after the way the superbowl fiasco went down. In most interviews the very mention of his name gets a really stern look from her....stern as in she still looks like she wants to kick this mothafucka's ass. It's just a guess, but I can't see him coming within 10 feet of anything officially connected to Michael by family sanction for a minute...

Plus Janet, I just can't see, getting involved in anything Jacksons anymore as far as professional matters go. I doubt she would've agreed to it nor would she have agreed to do a memorial concert for him. She rather mourn him in private and right now she's trying to move on.

I wouldn't take this seriously, but remember that psychic that talked to Michael.

http://www.net-psychics.c...hic/?p=242

Michael Jackson in ‘good spirits’ says psychic

King of Pop Michael Jackson is in ‘good spirits’, according to renowned psychic James Van Praagh who spoke to the dead musician. Praagh asked Michael Jackson several questions. One question focused on circumstances regarding the pop icon’s death.

Controversy surrounds Jackson’s death on doctor- “enablers’ who allegedly have been giving him addictive prescription pills. Speculation goes that Jackson might have died on drug overdose.

Jackson was in his rented home at Holmby Hills, Bel Air when he collapsed reportedly due to cardiac arrest.

But Jackson, according to Praagh’s conversation with the pop icon said, there was ‘no foul play in his death’.

“I felt sick that day, very sick. My doctor Conrad told me to rest, but I had to practice moves for my upcoming concert. I was tired, very tired, then I collapsed,” Michael Jackson told James Van Praagh.

The popular King of Pop is scheduled to have a show in London a few weeks from now.

And where is Michael Jackson now? How is he doing in the Otherworld?

“I am surrounded by happiness. I never felt happier,” said Jackson, according to Van Praagh.

With a world which tried him for child molestation charges and nearly $500 million debt knocking at his doorstep, sleeping finally at rest must have been relieving for the pop icon.

But when asked about his children, Jackson started crying. “I miss them a lot. I want them to be happy. I will be with them… in their hearts, will be looking over their shoulders.”

Van Praagh also asked Jackson where he would like to be laid to rest. Jackson responded, “Neverland Ranch. I do not miss my body. I do not feel anything. I am happier without it. I can only remember pain that my body gave me.”

Talking with the dead person’s spirit is a phenomenon among mediums and psychics from different countries and cultures, when relatives of the dead want to know where they are and what restless issues they could be facing in the Otherworld.

That guy really contradicted the hell out of himself throughout the whole time. I admit I felt bad when MJ start his speech about family structure. I also got mad when he started talking about Blanket being too light to come from a black mother, which was kind of ignorant because as MJ said before Black people come in different colors. err I saw him on ABC the day MJ died and I wanted to slap the fuck out of him.

Official Statement From AEG on MJ's 50-Date Schedule
July 21, 2009

"Our original agreement with Michael Jackson called for 31 shows. It was our option as the promoter to only announce the first 10 concerts knowing that based on the response to the pre-sale, we could and would add the additional 21 shows to the initial on-sale."

"The pre-sale response was so overwhelming that we went back to Michael's representative at the time, Dr. Tohme Tohme to inquire whether Michael would be willing to increase the number of shows. He reported that Michael was willing to increase the number of performances to 50."

"We did receive feedback from Dr. Tohme and Michael himself that it was important that we spaced the additional shows out over an extended period of time and that we would rent an estate for him and his family so that they would not be 'trapped' in a hotel suite while they were in London. He told us he was also motivated by the opportunity to establish a record to be entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for the run he was about to embark on."
