Maxwell. His first cd was a masterpiece. His singing is great and he has a great band. I love to listen to the music on his cd just as much as hear him sing. He has also released more music. I hope he doesn't wait too long to release another cd becaues people won't be so kind next time.

always liked both. well not always. in those years neither of them was doing anything, i couldn't have cared less.

but Maxwell has always been the one i preferred by far. really loving his new one. glad he's back with such a strong disc

Maxwell hands down. D is a "has been". M is a "still is".

AFAIC, D'Angelo is the brightest spot in R&B of the last 20 years with Van Hunt at #2. Maxwell? Hmm...

D'Angelo's sound is what you play goin to/at the club or settin up the seduction, whereas Maxwell is what you play when you get back home/ when u wake up the next morning with the urge to make her breakfast....

I like D, but u cant go wrong with Maxwell either

D'Angelo at the Orpheum (MPLS) 2000, first row, i'll never forget it cus brah reached over and gave me dap like 10 times LOL.
