Gerard McMahon and Mike Mainieri - "Cry Little Sister" ('Lost Boys' Theme)

...

One of the Classic themes from the 80's , written and performed by Gerard McMahon(G Tom Mac) and jazz keyboardist/vibist Mike Maineri--even though this was far from the jazz Maineri usually plays, he did occasionally use similar keyboard voicings for later albums by his Fusion group, Steps Ahead...

damn right.
probably the greatest horror movie song ever.
it suits the movie so perfectly, and even the score composer Thomas Newman used bits of this towards the end of the movie in his score.

Fucking awesome track, the opening to this track is killer!
The drums are epic too.

I was disgusted by Lost Boys: The Tribe however, that was a pathetic attempt at a "sequel".

I waited 20 odd years and we got a straight to dvd half assed attempt with none of the charisma or talent of the first one.

I was expecting a proper sequel at the same location in santa cruz. Let me tell you, I've been to Santa Cruz and its fucking awesome!

I don't know why they didn't do a proper sequel. its a disgrace really.

Still, this movie has it all, right down to Timmy Cappello with his greasy sax!
and INXS and Jimmy Barnes on those other corking tracks, no to mention Echo & the Bunnymen. The soundtrack is a masterpiece and so is the score.

Still, this song is the shit, and to this day rules supreme. Fright Night's "Come To Me" by Brad Fiedel, and sung by Deborah Holland for Fright Night Part 2 is another epic horror movie song to remember.
