Winehouse marriage 'was based on drugs'

Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil had nothing in common apart from a love of drugs, a report claims.

The troubled couple were granted a 'quickie' divorce at the High Court yesterday after spending months away from each other.

The development came just days after Winehouse returned to the UK following an extended holiday in St Lucia.

A source told the Daily Star: "She and Blake have been living completely separate lives for quite a while. They don't speak, even on the phone, and Amy has had plenty of time while living on St Lucia to move on.

"She admits their whole marriage was based on doing drugs. With everything that has happened, there was no way back."

A spokesperson for Winehouse recently said: "She is ready to move on following the end of the marriage. She has not had any contact with Blake for months and is focusing on the future. She's finishing off her album and in good health."


Man....I hope this girl cleans up her act before it's too late.....

I do hope she gets her act together. There's already too few genuinely talented performers in this generation without losing her. We don't need another Janis Joplin.

I hope she has left him behind. I'm not blaming him as I know it takes two to tango, but I hope she will stay sober now and continue making great music. I love her 2 cd's.
