PrintableI actually think EnVogue are overrated. They're f.i.n.e., yes, but I think they're just good -- not great -- singers.

In the field of R&B, I'd say they were probably more popular than those other groups, but they didn't cross over to the pop charts as much. I'll give them props on harmonies, and another place they are solid to me is live. They definitely sound clean and in control in concert. Lies "Giving Him..." gets my vote for sexiest video ever, but I've always been struck by how beautiful the girls look in the "Lies" video. The close-ups are breathtaking! There are a couple of "best of" cds.    
As for a DVD, there is not one, but they do have a GH VHS. The VHS is OOP and is pretty pricey on Amazon.

I'm with you on the DVD, but I wouldn't advise getting a hits CD when only their first 2 (or 3) albums are essential. If you do go that route, forget Best of En Vogue: it's missing too many tracks (like "You Don't Have to Worry" for one). The Very Best of En Vogue is probably the best one; it's only missing "Too Gone Too Long" and "Riddle." The Platinum Collection omits "Too Gone Too Long" as well as "Whatta Man."
