I'm feeling some sort of confusion here because she looks, well...age appropriate. I mean, let's face it, I don't think she'll be shooting for any hoochie coochie club bangers here. I would imagine she'll be catering to a market that's grown in age with her, and it's been so long since I haven't seen some blinged out cover with a buck nekkid chick on it...seeing somebody look their age on a cd feels strange somehow...you know, like if you didn't just do a close cropped shot of the face I almost would have expected crotch, cleavage, or a thigh high boot somewhere on here . Anyhooo...

She looks nice in the pics, not hugely airbrushed but the font and those nasty ass stripes look like some photoshop 1995 shit - someone got paid for that - outrageous.
Im not feeling the track 'I didnt know my own strength', so i have to say im not exactly buzzing over this new music but ill probably check it out.

JackieBlue said: Nice. The earrings are a little large tho. Is that Clive sitting in the back looking like he's riding the bus on his way to play Bingo or something?
My first thought when I saw that picture was that her earrings framed her face nicely. In any event; God bless her, I hope she does well with this project. I was never a huge fan of hers (...actually, rather DISLIKED her for the most part), but in light of recent events, I'm seeing artists with troubled HIStories a little differently now. My heart goes out to her, and I'm looking forward to hearing this CD.

Just curious: What would a 2009 font look like? May we see an example? And what kind of background would you have chosen? (...seriously curious).

Seems far from "outrageous" to me. In fact, seems simple & understated. The background and font should not detract from the subject in the foreground. But of course I understand everyone has their own opinion, but I feel your criticism is unnecessarily harsh.

I hope the best for her..I'm curious how Clive is gonna shop her in this new day and age.Her ass better not be on 106&Park trying to hype the album up..or something dumb like that.I just hope her music is age appropriate.

No my criticism is based almost entirely on the fact that somebody got paid thousands to do that (most likely) and its a terrible job. It looks cheap and nasty....simple as. not becoming of the comeback Whitney should be having.

As a record executive, THIS man never knew a damn thing about soul (never mind that he is far more responsible for "killing The Funk" more than Whitney). And to make matters worse, he has always been successful when he is able to turn any black artist into a crossover pop artist at the very expense of weakening their soul/funk cred.
