A friend of mine was telling me about Ovation TV. They recently wrapped up a week long celebration of black music icons, right?
watched Cadillac records recently and was greatly disappointed in the way his scenes were written. i love me some Muddy, but i'd much rather have the movie focus on Howlin' than Muddy. though, that scene about Muddy stealing his guitar player was true. Tsss. we both have the same last name, and i feel it in my bones that we're related somehow. f' what the family tree says.

I saved a funny picture of the dude:
It's from that documentary. Apparently Wolf loved to joke around and act a fool on stage. He scolded Son House in this performance for being too drunk (Son can be heard in some parts balking at several people in the audience).

A must see for any blues fan! Skip James performance is probably one of the most haunting performances i've ever seen. Oh, and Son was mad because he drank up all of his whiskey and Howlin' wouldn't give him any of his.
