Paul McCartney Explains Michael Jackson Rift To Letterman July 15, 2009 McCartney also went into detail about his first contact with Jackson, with whom he collaborated on the hits "Say Say Say," and "The Girl is Mine." "It was great, we had a great time," McCartney said. "It was Christmas and I was at home and my phone rang and a little voice talked to me and I said 'Who's this?' you know, kind of guarding my privacy, my private number. "I said who's this? 'It's Michael.' I thought it was, you know, a little bit sort of dodgy. But anyway he said, 'Michael Jackson.' He said, 'You want to make some hits?' So I said, 'Yeah, sure' - you know, being of the hit-making variety." The two became "very good friends," McCartney said, but it "actually kind of fell apart" when Jackson bought the Beatles catalogue. McCartney said he tried to make a deal with Jackson after the singer purchased the catalogue. "Somebody had to get it, I suppose. What happened actually is then I started to ring him up because I thought, here is the guy historically placed to give Lennon/McCartney a good deal at last. Because we'd got signed when we were 21 or something in a back alley in Liverpool and the deal remained the same even though we'd made this company the most famous and hugely successful. So I kept thinking, it was time for a raise. "We never kind of got to it and I thought, Mmm, so we kind of drifted apart. It was no big bust-up. ... But he's a lovely man, massively talented, and we miss him." Full article: http://www.seattlepi.com/...gif16.html

But TMZ says Mike asked America's permission to do the song. He was inspired enough from their version to ask to do it is what I meant by cover. America's current manager, Jim Morey, who was also Michael's manager in the late 80's and early 90's, tells us, "The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael's fans to hear."

But don't forget, there's also no proof he's his kid though (based on some stuff I've read , which contradicts everything said here-. MJ met this kid with his family in 1996 for the first time and he was impressed with his dance moves , the kid (older now) has a pakistani father and norweigan mom- he's biracial) All this secret kid stuff is just speculation by tabloid media brought forth. Michael was friends with a lot of children and he took care of them and was like a father like figure to them. He let them hang around with him. All these kids wanted to dress like him and look like him. I wouldn't jump to conclusions that fast. [Edited 7/16/09 18:58pm] [Edited 7/16/09 19:01pm]

Now, I'd like to know where's the "Sex is a core component of his work" since the Bad album? written by himself? when is he feeling sexual desire for anyone?. Give in to me? maybe? But One of his most sensual sensual songs for me is Lady In My Life, but that's just sexy and was not written by him. That's far from being a sexual song. Most of his other songs are mainly about political issues, "Me against the Media" & "Let's save the children" stuff Other artists who do/did write about sex implicitly or explicitly are Marvin, Prince, Janet, Chico Debarge, Joe, etc... MJ's songs seem to have elements only about love, most of it tender, sweet, imaginary/impossible love. Jackson Autopsy Report Delayed
Posted Jul 16th 2009 9:00PM by TMZ Staff The L.A. County Coroner's office needs another two weeks before it releases the Michael Jackson autopsy report. Sources tell us the reason for the delay is that several outside consultants have not finished their reports. As we have already reported, some of the tests are already in and from all indications the drug Propofol will ultimately be listed as the primary cause of Michael Jackson's death. But the Coroner does not release partial results 12/05/2011

Michael Jackson's record sales top 9 million since his death
By Chris Lee and Randy Lewis July 16, 2009 The surge in sales of Michael Jackson's music catalog continued Wednesday with the announcement that his recordings dominated the pop charts for the third consecutive week, and a source told The Times that more than 9 million of Jackson's albums have been sold worldwide since his death June 25. Nielsen SoundScan said Jackson's albums sold 1.1 million copies over the last seven days and had combined to sell an impressive 2.3 million in the U.S. in the nearly three weeks since he died. Sony Music, which controls the catalog of his solo adult recordings, declines as a policy to comment on sales issues, but a spokeswoman for the label did not dispute the accuracy of the 9-million figure provided by the source, who has knowledge of Jackson's global album sales but is not authorized to speak on the matter. Jackson's music has also topped the pop charts in countries including France, Germany, Australia and the U.K. during the same period. source: http://www.latimes.com/en...7156.story "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. By Champ Clark Originally posted Thursday July 16, 2009 06:20 PM EDT Katherine Jackson Photo by: Mark J. Terrill / Reuters / LandovKatherine Jackson Finally Able to Grieve By all accounts, Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson has been the rock for family members – including Michael's three children – in the weeks since the King of Pop's death. Now, it's her turn to grieve. "It's finally hit her," says a source close to the family. "She's been crying a lot. Her eyes are constantly red. She can't believe Michael is gone." While Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II ["Blanket"], 7, remain surrounded by cousins at the Jackson family home in Encino – having summer funtime that includes swimming and water balloon fights – Katherine is struggling to hide her sorrow, says the source. "She feels horrible for those children," the source says of Katherine, who was awarded temporary custody of the children pending a hearing scheduled for July 20 [and was named in Michael's will as his pick for primary guardian]. "[But] she's determined to remain strong for them." The source says Katherine is fiercely protective of all her family. "She is very upset about all the Joe bashing and all the things that are being said about him," says the source. "Michael's kids love Grandpa Joe. Debbie Rowe Files Defamation Lawsuit July 2009 Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe on Thursday sued a woman for defamation on Thursday after news reports that claimed Rowe was willing to accept millions of dollars in exchange for giving up her custody rights to her two children with the dead pop star. In the lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Rowe contends that Rebecca White committed defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. White, who could not immediately be reached for comment, claimed to be a "close friend" of Rowe, the lawsuit said. The women did know each other. The suit claimed White fabricated e-mails and other communications she said were sent to her by Rowe. In one case, White told an unspecified media outlet that Rowe had sent her an e-mail in which Rowe said she did not want the children but that it would look bad if she did not fight for their custody. In reality, according to the lawsuit, Rowe and White never exchanged e-mails concerning Jackson, his family or their children. Additionally, Rowe has not e-mailed White since Jackson died last month, it added. Rowe's attorney was not available for comment. It was not clear how much the lawsuit sought in damages. Rowe was expected to attend a custody hearing concerning Jackson's three children on Monday. She is the mother of Prince Michael, 12, and daughter Paris, 11. Seven-year-old Prince Michael II, better known as "Blanket," was born to an unknown surrogate. Rowe was not mentioned in Jackson's will, which named his mother, Katherine Jackson, as their guardian. http://www.reuters.com/ar...2620090717 [Edited 7/16/09 20:28pm]
