HIStory is the only MJ album I've ever bought. I know most can't understand that but tis true. And yes I've dug many songs before that but it's just the way it turned out.
Anywaw, Minus a few cuts, I really like HIStory. Dark, personal, angry, mult-layered and Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis. A whole nother MJ approach. I'm just now starting to getting into the Blood On The Dance Floor ep (original tracks) as well which is kinda like an extension of the HIStory album.
Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

BOTDF consists of half HIStory and Dangerous songs, no?

Ghosts
the title
Superfly Sister

all Dangerous

Is It Scary is from HIStory sessions.

Don't think so. I just looked up the tracklist for Dangerous and none of BOTDF tracks are on it.
It's really an ep of new tracks after HIStory.
And thanks LightOfArt for the nice compliment. wink

History costs so much money at stores. That's probably one of the reasons why it was overlooked for the most part.

History is an okay album, not horrible, but not the greatest MJ album.

The ballads were good- like Smile, Little Susie, YANA, Earth Song, Stranger in Moscow. Scream, and This time Around

Childhood is okay.

The rest of the album wasn't all that impressive- DS, History, Tabloid Junkie, Money, They Don't Care About Us,

Overall I think it was about an average album. The ballads were the best thing about this album.

They mean outtakes from the albums' recording sessions.

I believe this is correct.

Ghost (originally written for the Adam's Family movie)
Superfly Sister (originally recorded for consideration on Dangerous)
Blood On The Dancefloor (from the Dangerous sessions initially)

Is It Scary (HiStory era)
Morphine (HiStory era)

Really - i thought it was the other way round. Only due to the fact that on Is It Scary you have Jam & Lewis working with MJ, and that didn't occur til well after the initial recordings for Adam's Family.

Curious.

That's my favorite song on the album, and possibly for Michael - the 90s.

It's a very good song nod and ironically, the one he is performing in the now famous "rehearsal" vid.

Why is it ironic that that's the song he was performing in the rehearsal footage?

I have always though that cinnie is cool and I still think he is , I don't know why he posted it, however im not gonna blame him, he is not the one who created it.

But he is still disseminating it.

Nothing in Michael Jackson's recorded history is as horrifying as "The Girl Is Mine". Thriller has some great songs, but I feel that Bad has more.

'State of Shock' is the only contender I can think of.
I have never liked either song.

Damn I must be the only person around here who likes State Of Shock. sad
Btw, that duet was supposed to be MJ and Freddie Mercury. I believe they recorded a few songs together but then had some kind of falling out.

they never had a falling out. They just had diefferent shedules.

Freddie said they recorded three songs together: State Of Shock, There Must Be More Life Than This and Victory.

The first two have leaked, "Victory" hasn't so far.

Are they "demo" quality or better? I've heard SOS but not the other. How is it?

Stranger In Moscow

Good
Blood On The Dancefloor (not on history but same era)

Bad

Childhood
You Are Not Alone
Why (not on history but same era)
History (the remixed version)
Ghosts (not on history but same era)
