This album get's bashed by most Rufus fans, but to me it's one of they're best.

'Masterjam' is a strange album to me boxed It's good, but considering that it was produced by Quincy Jones during his most creative/successful period,it should be EXCELLENT.I mean, this album came out the same year that 'Off The Wall' was released. It seems as if Quincy saved his hottest grooves for that album.

Also,on a few songs,Chaka's powerful voice is pushed way back in the mix.On previous Rufus albums, her voice dominates.

"Do You Love What You Feel" is a masterpiece, though headbang

When I compare it to other Rufus albums as a hole, I think that only Rufuzied is a better all around album then this one. Like that one I don't skip any cuts on this Masterjam album, I think Quincy did a good job considering Chaka not really wanting to be in the band anymore....
