As I said...she was a better singer than Janet.

Um no.

There's a reason why her career was short lived wink

84-98? Yes u're right very short.

Anyway I still think she's better than Janet,

so you think Janet sings better than Regina Bell, Mikki Howard, Karen White, etc.

There's a long list of women that sing better than Janet and who had careers that were short lived.

None of them had any dancing ability or retained anything of relevance to the pop generation at the time like Janet. Rythm Nation shot her rocketship off. The rest of them kinda stayed in the r&b passe.

So...it was just dancing.

are we talking about real TALENT?

Please understand that I get Janet's appeal and I love me some Janet and I'm of that generation but I'm going to be a realist too...TALENT goes to those ladies mentioned.....entertainment...Janet.

I didn't say Janet wasn't talented per se....I'm just saying that there are some who have MORE talent that didn't make it for whatever reason.

I just heard Baby Tonight for the first time last night, it's a nice effort. I like Lovely Eyes and another joint (can't think of the name right now.) I've heard Jackie first record, but only snippets of his second. I'm pretty sure both have nothin'n Randy & the Gypsies though ...

You're not the only one! The media seems to mix him up with the other siblings or end up leaving him out confused Though he's the hottest out of the all the boys. I just found out he was drafted into the Chicago White Sox at 19 but declined to pursue music!

Does anyone know if it's true that Marlon works at a supermarket stocking shelves neutral I find that hard to believe ....

Randy was like Mike's little right hand man (or the other way around?) They wrote Shake Your Body, That's What You, Can You Feel It and Randy and Jackie wrote Time Waits for No One, I belive Lovely One and Mike and Jackie did Push Me Away, Give It Up. Mike and Tito did Everybody.

I never knew that.....good info. Thanks.

Gray done bumped his head. lol

Don't forget, Tito is actually a very good guitar player as is Jermaine on Bass and vocals.

I always thought The Jacksons would have been better off if they had stayed a group and showcased the others as well as Michael. Why couldn't they do solo projects and still perform as a group too?

There's a tribute magazine to Michael and the part about his family, they mix Randy up with the American Idol judge

Tito's is from 72 on the MoWest label. Marlon's was from 73'when he started to get parts in songs "Mama, I Got a Brand New Thing" and Corner of the Sky" and "It All Begins and Ends With Love."
