Holly Cara Price Here's an equation for you. Take one aging celebrity, mix in a hefty scoop of childhood abuse, add a few dozen helpings of bad publicity for pedophilia charges and just plain bizarre behavior, mix in a lethal cocktail of dangerous prescription drugs, plus the loss of billions of dollars due to years of mismanagement and an over the top lifestyle most of us could never even dream of. There's really only one way out of that mess, and it happened two weeks ago to 50 year old Michael Joseph Jackson: Death. Death. It's a whole new media strategy for success. Authorities Closing in On Jackson Doc
Posted Jul 11th 2009 11:53AM by TMZ Staff Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the central target in both the coroner and LAPD investigations into Michael Jackson's death is Dr. Conrad Murray, who was at Jackson's house when the singer went into full cardiac arrest. Sources say the doctor is not cooperating with authorities, but they have still found evidence linking him to the drug that may have killed Jackson. As we first reported, as a result of Dr. Murray's second interview with police two weeks ago today, the LAPD obtained a warrant to conduct a second search of Jackson's home -- and that's when they found Propofol, a powerful anesthesia that should never be used outside a hospital. There is evidence Propofol was administered to Jackson shortly before his heart stopped beating. And we're told there is evidence Dr. Murray may have administered the drug. Dr. Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, told TMZ he would neither confirm nor deny if Dr. Murray administered Propofol to Jackson. Law enforcement sources tell us if they conclude the doctor administered the drug it may well lead to manslaughter charges. Investigators are also suspicious of the delay in calling 911 -- the Dr. says he waited 20 - 30 minutes because he didn't know Jackson's address that would lead paramedics to the house. Jackson lived on one of the most famous streets in the world -- one house above Sunset Blvd. As the investigation into Jackson's death heats up, there's also an investigation into his life with drugs and the doctor's who fueled it. Sources tell us law enforcement is seriously investigating the prescription practices of several doctors who gave Jackson access to medications. Investigators are particularly interested in doctors who used aliases to write scripts for Jackson. One of the central figures in the investigation -- Dr. Arnold Klein.

Don't give me this "everybody mourns differently or privately" baloney! When you are a public figure, especially with some connection to the famous person who died, you owe it to the public to make a statement. Now granted Prince may not have appeared in public since MJs passing, so I'm giving him until he hits the stage in Montreux to say something or pay tribute. If he stays mum, it will prove he is the most self-centered, selfish bastard that ever lived! I really, really, REALLY wish people would let this shit go. Is that what your suggesting? Please clarify. this is the time of the first fast.

Does it really matter if they are his biological kids or not? Maybe he couldn't have children of his own b/c of certain health issues.
Tons of Hollywood celebrities adopt children from other countries- just like Madonna and Angelina did, yet the media never picks on them for not adopting white children. What a big double standard the media has going. [Edited 7/11/09 12:33pm]

Lotus2unfld said: kibbles said: yes but as i said upthread and desiree echoes, there is a concern that the rules will change with respect to mj if those kids aren't his bio kids. If Debbie Rowe (or how ever she spells it) is behind these nasty rumors.... there are a couple of points to remember. 1. She abandoned owenership and property rights to her ovum and fertilized egg and succeeding children born of that fertizliation, upon entering her agreement with MJ to act as surrogate to his children. 2. Furthermore, as part of that agreement she also agreed to abandon the children .... custody rights to those children she gave birth to in leiu of payment for services rendered so unlike a work for hire contract. Just a little more complex. Anything created or produced in that collaboration would belong to MJ. 3. She has established a precedence ...which is a BIG deal in the courts, by keeping with this agreement, the meets, bounds, terms and conditions of that agreement...something like a work for hire agreement for years after the fact. A little late in the game to come back now and claim anything different. She can't sya that lived in fear for her life, that MJ beat her or anyting like that, waaaay too late in the game to claim something that outragous and no one would ever believe her anyway ..especially at this point. So the only she might be able to come up with is that now she is and possibly has been secretly fearful for the kids. If she goes that route... fear for the kids ...all these years... and there is ANY reason to Possibly give any standing .. then the state should invstigate Debbie for Criminal neglicet of those children. Take Debbie to Superior Court... Probate will be there anyway ..so that will be handy. Let Debbie go diamond hunting ...tick off Probate court and find her but in jail, for child neglict and endangerment and even child abuse on Her. child abuse in the factor that she now claims she thought the kids were in danger and took money to stay away from those kids and keep quiet. I better quit with the strategizing. I'm not an attorney any way. I just have a natural love of the law and I love to analyze. However, the Jackson's will have the best possible legal team putting there game plan down. They'll be alright. Those kids are well documented in the public eye as MJ's children. It's also well known to the public at large that Debbie Rowe was a wife of convienence for a time ... whose true purpose was to act as surrogate as the two of them had agreed upon ...even before marriage, if I'm not mistaken. They were not in love with each other. No one in the public eye was ever confused about that fact. But to hear of this woman trying to pull this stunt ... is appauling. So what if MJ cut her out of the will. She had already agreed to something quite different with him ... she was an acting surrogate ... not really family to him. those poor kids. They shouldn't have to go through this at all..and esp. while their grieving. Shoot poor Mrs Jackson... she lost her son and has to face a big convulted legal mess ..that's just getting started. Bless her heart... Bless that whole family. i wholeheartedly agree with you. there is no freakin' way any fair judge should give her so-called concerns any merit just based on what you said above. but speaking of precedents, a family judge unilaterally decided to restore her parental rights which was not based on her demonstrating that she deserved them. she didn't. she unilaterally gave them up, capriciously it seems, then goaded by others, she decided that her children 'needed her' because she was afraid of the nation of islam's supposed influence on mj. she had no intimate knowledge of any influence, all she had was media speculation. the judge decided that she was right, ostensibly based upon his own prejudices about the noi. whatever anyone thinks about the politics of the noi, unless you have some credible evidence that the children were being negatively influenced by them, then rowe's unsubstantiated concerns should not have been the prevailing factor to decide to re-establish her parental rights. i may not like it if someone is a card carrying kkk member who raises their kids with their prejudices, but i do not have the right to award someone else parental rights over them. rowe abandoned her children, went into court on her own volition to terminate - TERMINATE - her relationship and connection to them, and the judge decided on his own that she should have those rights back. even with those rights back, it is known that she still has no contact with those kids. it's this kind of b.s. that leads me to believe that the jacksons will have an uphill battle for these kids based on the thinly veiled racism at work here. if those kids are not mj's, if they are white, i think that mountains will be moved for rowe to award her custody. the unspoken truth is that no one can fathom white children being brought up with a black family, and you hear the sentiment echoed everywhere. it's one thing for madonna, angelina, et al to go to a third world country and adopt a child of color; everyone's okay with that. but even though jackson is the legal father and the only one they have ever known, his family the only one they have ever known, the argument will be made that rowe is the bio mom, so every accommodation should be made for her. that's like saying that if madonna died tomorrow, david banda and mercy james would go back to africa. they wouldn't; they would go to whomever madonna has stipulated in her will as guardian, she is their adopted mother after all. like you said, the prima facie evidence her is that mj and rowe had an arrangement that she would be his surrogate. why would she have any claims on those kids, then. does david crosby have any claims to melissa etheridge's kids? no. he donated sperm, that's all. but i have a feeling that rowe will be given a special consideration that she really doesn't deserve based on her race.

But now it's the random and fishy they have to worry about. Police were called to the Beverly Hills office of Michael Jackson's former dermatologist—who in various interviews this week discussed the late artist's plastic surgery obsession and prescription-drug use and didn't really deny fathering Jackson's children—after the office received some, shall we say, off the wall phone calls. Per the Beverly Hills Police Department, an officer headed to Klein's office on Roxbury Drive shortly after 12:30 p.m. in response to a report about some suspicious phone calls that were made to the office of the man who's been accused of being Jackson's sperm donor. Otherwise known as a very understandable turn of events. "At this time, they are not threatening phone calls and office management wanted to document this activity," said Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police Department. Hi guys. Been on a holiday for a week which I could not enjoy because of what happened. Been off the news, haven´t seen the memorial yet, trying to watch it now (and I am all over in tears again) and catch up with all the news, but there´s tones of garbage to go through. Could someone sum it up for me, please? No tabloids please. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Marrk said: Copycat said: Custody Hearing over Jackson's Children Postponed
By Elaine Aradillas 07/10/09 The custody hearing for temporary guardianship of Michael Jackson's children scheduled for Monday has been rescheduled for July 20 at the request of Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe, according to court officials. "All prior orders remain in full force and effect, with Katherine Jackson as temporary guardian of the children," according to a Los Angeles Superior Court statement released Friday afternoon. Michael Jackson's kids – Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7 – have been living with their grandmother, Katherine, and staying at her Encino, Calif., home since the death of the pop icon on June 25. Rowe, who is the biological mother of Prince and Paris, has not filed a petition for temporary guardianship, says a courthouse spokesperson. Blanket's mother has never been identified. Last week, Rowe's attorney Eric George, said, "The truth is that Debbie has not reached a final decision concerning the pending custody proceedings." This came on the heels of Rowe telling her former attorney and close friend Iris Finsilver that she intended to pursue custody. "Frankly, she won't have to fight for them, " Finsilver told PEOPLE. "She is the children's biological mother. She loves her children." But Jackson's mother, Katherine, was named the guardian of his three children in his will, which was revealed last week. A source close to the family says of the Jacksons: "They will fight." link Those kids don't even know Debbie! She wants to rip those kids apart? she'll be hurting all three horribly, ripping a family apart, Biological mother or not, Mike will win this one too. I guarantee. A prescedant will be set. boy howdy, Debbie Rowe and her attorney are sure snakin' it ..this way and that. I see they did file a motion obviously, but they're not asking for custody at this time. You can bet the Judge is no fool, he or she see's the garbage every day. It's too bad MJ didn't have his attorney draft a special codicil in his last will and testament that would have antipicated Debbie's greed ...and challenged her on it. something like, Debbie will continue to receive X for a specified time. Until the kids are 14 or something. (I think the court allows a 14 yr old to choose his own family member to stay with.) Then put in a no contest clause ..that if she contests any part of the will, she is to be considered as predeceasing MJ in the eye's of the court. And have it so that the childrens custody are in the Will .. just as they are now .... and slip in something further down in the fine print that would include that any challengers to the Will are considered predeasced of the decedent ...which would include but not be limited too, child custody. Did that make any sense? In other words if she barked, she'd loose all disbursments and loose all custody claims as well. Especially since the children are linked to the estate being MJ's heirs. Learn a man's weakness and never trust him with it ... (forgot which philosopher said that) Or you can look at it as the glass half full.... Learn a man's weakness and always trust him with it. Trust he'll cave to his weakness. MJs will probably DOES have a no contest clause. It would be malpractice for an estate that size not to have a tight well written will. shoiot I need to just take my behind on back to school and get that law degree. this aspect just fascinates me. I mean No disrepsect to the memory of Michael or his family though. I'm gonna try to just keep my mouth shut and quit posting on this topic. But the topic of the law just is soooo interesting to me. this is the time of the first fast.
