I just want to say that since Michael Jackson died those kids have been shoved in front of the media, the masks have come off and their privacy has been completely exposed. One thing Jackson got very right was protecting these kids and keeping them out of the media spotlight. Maybe not the mask thing but he didn't put them in front of a mike and tell them to "speak louder," Now his kids are being paraded like circus animals.

thought better edit..
[Edited 7/10/09 6:17am]

How could the mask thing not be right? They are the whole reason that they had any privacy at all and were out of the media spotlight away from Michael. Everyone went crazy mad at him for doing it but it was the best thing he ever did for their privacy. If they didnt understand why they had to wear them then I bet they sure as hell know why now.

It just looked creepy if you know what I mean. Oh and the hair bleaching of the older son, :eek eek eek I mean Madge didnt go to thsoe lengths with her kids..but anyway, yes, a big clapping for protecting them. BTW, I think Janet would never take thsoe kids on and I'm glad, she just seems so not maternal to me. I think Blanket is so cute. They are beautiful kids.

what the hell??? this just gets crazier and crazier....

1. those kids are NOT mike's. i dont know who they belong to, but they damn sure arent his.

2. again, are they REALLY going to bury him in a normal cemetary?

3. why are the doctors not cooperating? if i was in their shoes, i would be giving them everything they asked for and more. they stand to get themselves in a nasty situation by playing stupid.

4. i do feel sorry for those kids, their lives are forever fucked up, but, i suppose they have been in this fucked up situation since birth - unfortunately you cannot have michael for a father and expect a 'normal' life.

5. homicide? who would have done that and what did they stand to gain?

6. i still feel very sorry for his mother, thats gotta be the most difficult thing to not only lose a child but then to have the whole thing become a circus for the entire world to follow disbelief i also feel horrible for his babies and his siblings. note, i dont believe those are his kids, but they knew him as daddy, and that in the end is all that matters.

7. how much longer till we hear from one of the official reports on the cause of death?
One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111

These are not Michael's children. I don't care how you squint your eyes or and look sideways. They are not his biological children. If he had vitiligo and lupus, it made a lot of sense not to produce sperm to form a child. no no no!

A while back I read Michael was strongly thinking about adopting another child. It's a good thing that didn't happen. Everybody keeps saying Blanket favors Michael but I don't believe he is Michael's biological kid either.

They are his children because he adopted them.

Money talks and bullshit walks, you can get just about anything for the right price!!!

whatever they still look mixed even in that picture

Damn you all REALLY want these kids to be his...
Michael hardly did anything normal, please keep dreaming their not his kids.
cool Even if they look mixed their not his.

Since I've read that Rowe stated she was inseminated, I just can't imagine Michael wanting his children fathered from just some random guy. I also can't imagine him doing the 'collecting sperm' thing, like he'd think it was below him in a way because it's kind of a 'cold procedure'.Also, his sperm might not have been in such great shape if there had been long term drug abuse and the possibility of passing on the vitiligo. So my next guess would be that someone he knew and trusted would've been the donor.

LOS ANGELES – Detectives investigating the death of Michael Jackson are looking at his prescription drug history and trying to talk with his numerous former doctors, the Los Angeles police chief said.

Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, told ABC News in an interview that he believed "foul play" was involved in his son's death. But in the interview aired Friday on "Good Morning America," Jackson did not elaborate.

Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton told CNN that police are waiting for the coroner's report before ruling out any possibilities in their "comprehensive" investigation into the sudden death of the 50-year-old pop star two weeks ago.

The coroner's report will determine the cause of death and hinges on time-consuming toxicology tests.

"Based on those we'll have an idea of what we're dealing with," Bratton said Thursday. "Are we dealing with homicide? Are we dealing with an accidental overdose? What are we dealing with?"

Bratton said detectives are gathering evidence, including items seized from Jackson's rented home and arranging interviews with his many physicians, but the police chief deferred to the coroner to determine the cause of death.

"The next move really is his," Bratton said. "We're not marking time waiting for his report."

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the state attorney general's office, which keeps a database of prescription drugs, are assisting investigators.

An attorney for Dr. Arnold Klein, one of Jackson's many physicians, told the Los Angeles Times that the dermatologist was subpoenaed for medical records, which he turned over to the county coroner's office.

Bratton refused to discuss details of the case.

Jackson, who died June 25, had a well-known history of using prescription medications, especially painkillers. Following his death, Cherilyn Lee, a registered nurse who had worked for Jackson, told The Associated Press she repeatedly rejected his demands for the potent anesthetic Diprivan, also known as Propofol.

Jackson had multiple doctors, friends and staff who came in and out of his life. Which people were being interviewed by police was unclear because the LAPD has said virtually nothing about the probe.

Joe Jackson said he didn't know anything about drugs his son was involved in.

"I don't even know the name of them," he said. "I do know that whatever he was taking was to make him rest because he had been working so hard."

Police towed a doctor's car from Jackson's home hours after he died and said later it could contain medication or other evidence. Coroner's officials also said Jackson was taking prescription medication but declined to elaborate.

Meanwhile, Joe Jackson told ABC that he and his wife, Katherine, should have custody of Michael's three children. "They'll grow up to be strong Jacksons," he said.

He said Michael's daughter, Paris, who spoke at the Tuesday memorial service, was taking the death hard and was crying whenever Michael's name is mentioned. He said that she might have a future in the entertainment business along with the youngest son, nicknamed Blanket, who "can really dance." eek

i remember reading somewhere that a friend said joe was dreaming of a singing group even before all of his children were born. janet has said she had originally thought about being a jockey, and latoya a lawyer, but joe had other plans for them, particularly after mj and his other sons let him go as manager.

but whatever dreams for the kids joe may have aren't relevant, thank goodness. i don't think they will pursue lives in the spotlight given what they know about it.

Stevie Nicks on the Ultimate Showman

July 2009

"I remember before [we performed at Bill Clinton's 1993 inauguration], Michael sent somebody to find out if I had any foundation make-up he could borrow. I was using some light Chanel foundation at that time, and Michael sent back a note to say, thanks, but the foundation wasn't quite light enough for him. He meant that in show business, the stage is everywhere — it's when you leave the parking lot, when you go to the mall. It's about trying your best to be as perfect as possible.

It's the reason Michael was like royalty. There's no other person like that, because the era of performers — the Frank Sinatras, the Elizabeth Taylors, the Sammy Davis Jr.s — is over. He was the last emperor."

I'm really disgusted with how the Jackson family continues to be disrespected and dehumanized, especially his children.
The only ones still denying MJ's rightful role as parent (by law, by love, AND by blood) are either promoting a certain *cough*RACIST*cough* agenda, or are too ashamed to admit that they were wrong all these years.

But go ahead. Continue to tout every white man under the sun as the "true" father of these beautiful kids, if that's what helps you sleep at night.

Little Sis

Though he and sister Janet (pictured in 1972) were close as siblings, Jackson had his typical big brother moments, like nicknaming her Dunk because of her size. "You look like a donkey, you're so big," he said. Years later, in 2001, the pair teamed up for the edgy song and video "Scream," which earned them a Grammy nomination. "Everyone sees he is different. There's no question about that," she said in 2007. "He's my brother. I love him regardless."

Over his dead body!

Michael Jackson's family is bitterly divided over how best to profit off the King of Pop's remains -- so his body has been stashed in Motown maestro Berry Gordy's crypt until the clan stops bickering, The Post has learned.

LAPD: Not Ruling Out Homicide

More: The Post's Ongoing Michael Jackson Coverage

Jackson's gold-plated casket was last seen at his public memorial service, and its whereabouts have been shrouded in mystery -- until now.

His remains were brought back to the white marble, above-ground crypt the Motown record-label founder bought for his family in the Court of Remembrance section of the sprawling, celeb-filled Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills.

Jackson's body is still missing his brain, which coroners are temporarily keeping for testing.

Aside from Jackson, the simple mausoleum is empty and marked only with a distinctive swooping letter "G."

For the time being, Jackson lies with a who's who of Hollywood heavyweights. Next door is the final resting place of American sweetheart actress Sandra Dee, who died in 2005.

And nearby are ornate crypts for iconic actress Bette Davis, flamboyant pianist Liberace and '70s "Chico and the Man" star Freddie Prinze.

Gordy -- who discovered the Jackson 5 -- offered the family use of the crypt until they sort out what to do with the superstar's remains, sources said.

On one side are Jackson's brother Jermaine and father, Joseph, who are insistent the Gloved One be buried at Neverland Ranch so the family can profit off a proposed Graceland-style museum there -- a process that could take years.

On the other are Jackson's mother, Katherine, and most of the rest of the siblings, who want his body laid to rest elsewhere out of respect for his wish, following his acquittal on child-molestation charges, to never return to Neverland.

"Jermaine is the one that wants him at Neverland -- he and Joseph -- because of the whole Elvis thing and the money potential," a family source said. "They are seeing dollar signs."

Her son's physical purgatory has left Katherine shaken.

"She is still upset that Michael isn't buried and he is at Gordy's spot in Forest Lawn, the source said. "This fighting has to stop. We can never unite, and that's an injustice."

The fight had become so contentious that Jermaine rode in a separate Rolls-Royce limousine to Jacko's public memorial at Los Angeles' Staples Center, even though his mother had wanted all the brothers to ride together, the source said.

But the fight hasn't stopped the family from agreeing on other ways to turn Jackson's death into a financial boon.

Most of the kids and Katherine are onboard with a proposed documentary about the family that could bring in $20 million, the source said.

"They're doing this documentary because with the kids, they will get $20 million," the source said, adding Katherine is pushing all her children to be a part of it.

But if Jermaine and Joseph Jackson prevail, it would be a long legal road -- permits would be needed -- before a Graceland-like museum could be built at Jackson's one-time fantasyland home north of Santa Barbara.

Meanwhile, LAPD Chief William Bratton told CNN last night that detectives are looking at Jacko's prescription-drug history and trying to talk with his numerous former doctors.

The coroner will determine the cause of death -- whether it's homicide or an accidental overdose.

The coroner's office has subpoenaed "any and all" medical records pertaining to Jacko's care, the LA Times reported.

Bratton said the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the state Attorney General's Office, which keeps a database of prescription drugs, are assisting investigators.

Talk about money hungry. There is no point burying a person in place that he didn't even want to live anymore. It's a well know fact that MJ thought Neverland was tainted due to the police raids and hence he never wanted to go back there and he never did up until his death. The only reason why Joe & Jermaine wants him buried there is because of dollar signs not because they are Michael's wishes.

AEG Live CEO Discusses Jackson's Memorial, Tribute Concert
July 10, 2009 Link

Just two weeks after the death of Michael Jackson, Randy Phillips, CEO of AEG Live, producers of what were to be Jackson’s 50 sellouts at the O2 Arena in London, still has not caught his breath. Among the most recent developments for Phillips, AEG Live and parent AEG, was the successful planning and execution of Jackson’s memorial at the AEG-operated Staples Center in L.A. on Tuesday.

"To me, the success of [the memorial] is measured by the fact that I think we were able to really humanize my friend and erase those caricatures that the press had created of him. If there is one thing I could point to it as to why it was successful, it would be that."

Phillips noted that the event was "one of the largest broadcasts ever in the history of the world, right up there with Princess Diana’s funeral, maybe even bigger because of the Web now." According to Nielsen Media Research, the memorial service for Jackson on Tuesday totaled a combined 20.5 household rating with 30.92 million viewers in the U.S. on the 19 networks carrying it from approximately 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In offering a free media feed from the event to the world and refusing to sell merchandise at the event, AEG declined to monetize the memorial, despite the huge losses they have incurred following Jackson's death. "This was a memorial service," Phillips said. "In fact, it was really a funeral, because the casket and the body were there. We took the high road. I'm not saying this because I drank the AEG Kool-Aid, but that's the only way this company knows how to work."

That's not to say Phillips and AEG have not taken their shots in the wake of Jackson's death, from giving fans the option to keep their tickets to This Is It (with no refund) to selling merchandise on the This Is It website. "One thing I've learned in taking this job is you can't please everybody," Phillips says. "There will always be critics and skeptics and all that, but we did the right thing for my buddy. We buried him with dignity."

The memorial featured moving and sometimes magnificent performances by such artists as Usher, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and Lionel Richie. While AEG owns this intellectual property, Phillips says there are no immediate plans to offer content, digital or otherwise, from the memorial.

"First of all, we didn't know what it was going to be, how well it was going to come out," Phillips says. "There may be [some sort of release], but we really haven't thought about that. We'd have to go back to the speakers and the artists and get their permission."

Even if there were video or audio released from the memorial, "we wouldn't do anything without the estate," says Phillips. "Michael was our partner in life, he's our partner in death through his estate."

TRIBUTE CONCERT

Next up could be a Jackson tribute concert at the O2 utilizing the massive production put together for This Is It. "We're just starting to get into that now, to figure out how to unveil all the stuff we have to the world," says Phillips. "I think at some point we'll show Michael's last masterpiece, This Is It, to the world."

Regarding refunds, Phillips says AEG is currently seeing a retention rate of about 25% in an offer that runs through Aug. 14. He says 40% retention would allow AEG to recoup its expenses. What ticket retention doesn't make up, intellectual property should cover costs that AEG has put at about $25 million and others have tagged as high as double that. "I can only tell you how much we spent," says Phillips. "I don't know what we lost yet, it's too early."

This Is It intellectual property, including Jackson's "mini-movies" produced for the shows, is "all locked up at the Staples Center in the vault," Phillips says. "The production, staging and all that is in warehouses under lock and key. And the dancers and everyone else want to do the show for the world one time, so we kind of have them on hold, but we don't have anything confirmed yet."

Speculation has been that the tribute show might be staged on what would have been Jackson's 51st birthday Aug. 29. "That would be the ideal time, but we're not sure we can get it together in time," Phillips says.

Regarding the MJ This Is It merchandise, Phillips says it is selling "big time" on the Web site and will be offered at retail at some point. "I have a book of 300-plus of the most amazing items Michael designed with Bravado that are just spectacular, the best merch I've ever seen in my life," he says.

That's what I figured as well.

And although it was Michael's home, he wanted nothing to do with after the trial.

Michael Jackson's Estate: Saved by the Beatles
By Stephen Gandel

Jackson, who died on June 25, left behind as much as $500 million in debts. That includes a $315 million loan owed to British bank Barclays, as well as millions of dollars in bills. "Jackson never paid his bills," says a lawyer who did work for Jackson over the years. "Countless professionals who worked for him are still waiting to get paid." In May, the singer's longtime publicist Raymone Bain sued Jackson for $44 million in unpaid fees.

Oh please - ain't no publicist, even over a 50 years could make 44 million dollars. ~sigh~ gimme a quackin' break.

I LOVE Michael K. from Dlisted:

http://www.dlisted.com/node/32896

A little while ago, I made a dumb joke about how Joe Jackson was going to turn Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket into The Jackson 3. Well, don't be surprised if you see them flaunting their jazz hands and pirouettes for dollars at the 3rd Street Promenade, because Joe might have plans for them!

In an interview with Good Morning America (via UsWeekly), Joe said, "I keep watching Paris, She wants to do something." As for Blanket, Joe said the boy has got the moves, "That's what they're saying. He can really dance."

Joe didn't mention Prince Michael's talents, so I guess this means that he's the LaToya?. Don't worry, Prince Michael, the LaToya in the family has the most fun.

Katherine Jackson currently has custody of the kids, but Joe somehow thinks that he does too! When asked who could get permanent custody, he said, "The grandmother, Katherine, and I. There's no one else to do what we can do for them. We should keep them all together and make them happy. And feed them like they're supposed to be fed. And let them get rest ... and grow up to be strong Jacksons."

What he really meant by "strong Jacksons" is "overflowing ATMs."

As far as I know, Katherine and Joe didn't shit under the same roof, so what is this "we" mess? Jafar Jackson needs to know that it's not normal when he looks at his grandkiddies and sees dancing sparkly dollar signs all around them.

Joe, do you see that purdy thumb of yours? Do us all a favor and stick it in your ass as deep as you can, wiggle it around, pull it out and then stick it in your mouth. Keep it there.

Papa Joe Hates Michael Jackson

That's the only reasonable explanation I come up with as to why Papa Joe thinks it's a brilliant idea for his daughter Asshole Simpson to record an album of Michael Jackson covers. Page Six says that Asshole's pimp is giving her music career mouth-to-mouth (Papa Joe's chonies just filled up) by pitching the album to executives.

I have a feeling that Asshole's "boar with bad allergies getting butt fucked with a taser gun" voice singing "Thriller" would cause Michael Jackson to rise from the dead so that he could moonwalk all over her mouth hole! Maybe that's not such a bad thing after all.
