ANOTHER BONUS Old School R&B Song Of The Day/Millie Jackson-If You're Not Back In Love By Monday This sista became famous for the ranchy languauge she uses on her records and live shows. But make no mistake about it. She could hold her own as a vocalist. Her bold tell-it like-it-is stance on adult relationship won her many fans in the 70's. This is a great song from her 1977 album called Feelin Bitchy and it made the top 10 on the R&B charts.
"If you're not back in love by Monday...then you just go your separate ways". Enjoy and have a good one!!!

this is probably my favorite mille jackson song of all-time... the emotion that she puts into every single word of every line... it does help that she had a great lyric courtesy of mr. merle haggard (whose version is great in its own right)...
i've had this song stuck in my head all day, though, because i just had a millie jackson cd in my car... she is probably my favorite underrated female soul singer from the 70s... - my man, a sweet man - child of god - i cry - love doctor - hurt so good - (if loving you is wrong) i don't want to be right (this one kills me) - loving arms (one of my favorite songs, no matter who's singing it) - tell her it's over - all the way lover - angel in your arms - you never cross my mind (which she does with isaac hayes) - slow tonge and on and on and on... she also did a really good cover of "i wanna be your lover" in the mid to late 80s... Candy Dulfer is my boo...

Don't you just love the spoken part of "All The Way Lover" which is also from the 'Feelin Bitchy' album (1977)?
"Yo' man be layin' up there with two strokes going for him...UP...and DOWN...ain't never heard of a curve unless it was on a ball field!"

"Yo' man be layin' up there with two strokes going for him...UP...and DOWN...ain't never heard of a curve unless it was on a ball field!" my favorite part... where she's calling out all the women who would rather sit there and watch soap operas than break off some good lovin' for their men... Candy Dulfer is my boo...

I love the part where she instructs women on how to demand oral sex from their men.She says they must tell their men to "get on down and partay...mind you,I said "partay",not party, partay" [This message was edited Tue Dec 17 6:42:44 PST 2002 by DavidEye]

"If you're not back in love by Monday...then you just go your separate ways". Enjoy and have a good one!!! I met her last year in Newark with her daughter Keisha(Joi's back-up vocalist) and the woman was the most loving, warmest creature on earth. I asked her about any future plans and she said "There will be more plays and a show" that would be tight
