She decided not to attend, as it was reported two days ago that she would. Lisa Pressley also decided not to attend. But I wouldn't be surprised if Lisa attended the private memorial service after the public one at the hotel, being held for family and close friends of MJ.

i tried to smile like charlie, michael, and jermaine said ...but it was too hard. i just cried. i thought that i was getting thru this. in the last couple of weeks ive found myself laughing. i thought i had gotten thru it. the battle was won. but today...i realized...hes gone. i will never get to see this great man on this earth. i will never get to hug his body and look into his eyes. i am broken way beyond belief. i am so hurt. so very hurt. im confused about those who think paris speaking was wrong? michael was all about listening to the children and freeing your heart. she showed another side of michael to us. marlon...my love. rip brandon usher... jermaine... I cried through the whole thing basically.

I think so too, but maybe this wasn't the time nor the place for Prince to do it??? You know, i'm hoping he'll tip his hat to Mike at Montreux, that'll be the time and place i think. A lot of P/MJ fans on this here forum never saw any so-called rivalry. Some do, maybe even P. Get over it. i implore that.

i think i remember mj saying paris was his 'tough little girl' or words to that effect. she certainly is - strong, poised, and determined. she really wanted to say something about her father, and she wasn't going to let anyone stop her!
i pray that rowe does the right thing and leaves the kids where they are. you can see from the look on blanket's face he could not stand one more loss right now. and look at the way paris has her arms on his shoulders. they all need each other right now. she can visit (if she must).

errant said: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/jul/07/michael-jackson-buried-brain
Michael Jackson will be buried without his brain today after doctors retained it following an autopsy to help determine the cause of death. The King of Pop will be saluted in grand fashion at the Staples Centre memorial ceremony, and reportedly laid to rest at Los Angeles's Forest Lawn cemetery. However, the LA coroner's office has still not completed its tests on Jackson's brain, and the singer's family have been advised that unless they wish to wait, he must be buried without it. Jackson died from an apparent cardiac arrest on 25 June. Though his body was released the next day to relatives, his brain was not. The pop star's inert brain must "harden" for at least two weeks before doctors can conduct their neuropathology tests. Doctors will examine Jackson's brain to help determine the cause of death, suspected of being linked to painkillers. Such examinations can also reveal unknown diseases, evidence of alcohol abuse or whether Jackson has suffered overdoses in the past. Removing the brain is the "only way to carry out the tests" according to a source for the Mirror. "The tissue has to be examined. I can't tell you how long that is going to take." Jackson's funeral will begin with a closed-casket family service, followed by a Staples Centre memorial for more than 11,000 fans I ain't NEVER heard of no shit like this...ROTFL!!! Lawd ham mercy...
