Haha, are you people really saying Oprah Winfrey's deathe would potentially match up to the media hype Michael's Jackson's death has gotten in the media on a global scale.
I'm sorry but that would go mostly unnoticed most everywhere in the world. She isn't any more "loved" than any other talk show host or hostess. [Edited 7/7/09 13:27pm]

About the only person who could come close to MJ is Muhammad Ali for such wide and long term popularity. He's the only (non Presidential) American that comes close to anything like MJ's level of recognition the world over. [Edited 7/7/09 13:32pm]

The Jackson Family show them how to do it with class.. I was so relieved, and happy to see that the memorial was done with so much class. It was (well the last parts that I saw anyway, still thinking how to catch the first hour or so) both sombre as well as a celebration, fitting, with a erfect blend of star presence, performances, and speeches. It had the right balance.

I think she wanted to tell the world that she loved him more than anything and that's touching. I'm still balling tears out of my eyes because I'm so proud that the Jackson family continue to stay together and stand by each other. It wasn't about the egos today! I loved this memorial. May MJ rest in peace. Check me out and add me on:

She and the boys apart of their family and their tradition. If anybody ever questioned it before, all doubts are set aside. She's such a little lady w/ her pocketbook and all. MJ woulda been so proud of her. That little lady pocketbook, and then she spoke...she got me, she really did

Yup. Paris showed the world how he was as a human by just saying a few words. She obviously loved him very much and the kids seem to be alright, so Michael couldn't have done that bad of a job with them. She is a brave girl. I hope she will stay with the Jackson family, it's obvious she and the other kids are close with the family and that's where they need to be.
