Could any one single other person bring this many people 2gether like this?

I don't think so. He was loved by so many different people from different backgrounds.

I was torn on Paris speaking but it was appearent she took the lead and wasn't gonna take no for an answer. With that being said, she did what many have tried and failed, she humanized Michael Jackson. Her words, and Brook Shields too, stay with me the most.

me too

after that, Marlon also got to me somewhat.

and smokey's talk was also good....good to see an old motown face telling things in a personable way.

When I realised the casket was going to be there, I had my reservations. But it was entirely appropriate in retrospect.

I was glad to see how tender the family were w/ the kids. Obviously they know and love their father's family. I'm glad to know they will have support. grouphug rose rainbo

I love the fact that they let Paris speak. Speech has power...they empowered and honored her by allowing her to partake. She and the boys apart of their family and their tradition. If anybody ever questioned it before, all doubts are set aside. nod

She's such a little lady w/ her pocketbook and all. MJ woulda been so proud of her. biggrin

who the hell is that Asian/Black woman

I'm mad how ya'll are describing this woman with that beautiful voice as "who is this biracial woman" and "who is this asian/blk woman", that is so disrespectful and rude. She's just a woman for crying out loud.

Yanno? The most important thing is that she did a lovely job on the closing memorial song. People are so disrespectful to those singing over the deceased:shrug:

I'm glad too, it was very organized. I'm glad the ones who spoke wasn't up there forever in a day saying what they had to say. That always irks me when people go up to give reflections at a funeral but want to speak for 20 minutes or more, its so rude. Apparently that wasn't the case today, and it was kept very respectful and classy.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It seems far more than just $$$$ w/ those two. Gloria seems to try to tear down any man...alive or dead (see Dodi Fayed) and Nancy seems to go off on personal vendettas about "getting" someone she thinks has done wrong.
