A couple days ago I was wishing... that I could see Angie Stone perform live. I love her voice and her music means a lot to me. Then last night I was flipping by public television, and there she was performing a song with Josh Groban (who makes me ill). Is Angie crossing over into the world of neo-classical, italianesque-hack, pop vocalists? Or was this a one time only event? Anybody know?

Did y'all know that she used to be an old-school rapper? And I'm talking late 1970's old school. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Ok, I didn't know that. She didn't release anything though. Did she? [This message was edited Mon Dec 16 16:27:10 PST 2002 by blacksatin515]

[This message was edited Mon Dec 16 16:27:10 PST 2002 by blacksatin515] I forgot her moniker, but I read it in a recently-released book called "Yes Yes, Y'all: An Oral History of Hip-Hop's First Decade" by Jim Fricke & Charlie Ahearn.
