I have his greatest hits album but never realized this album was a cover album of sorts. Great album and one I will most definitely buy today to listen to.
Two of my alltime fave Ray songs are on here "You don't know me" and "I can't stop loving you" Hard to believe that we lost The Genius of Soul in 2004, The Godfather of Soul in 2006, and the King of Pop in 2009. Their contributions to music shows the power of music to transcend along lines of race. The Modern Sounds in Country & Western Music was a landmark since Ray made country and western standards uniquely his own and has been pointed out, led to a resurgence in the popularity of country music at the time and showcased his raw musicianship. [Edited 7/5/09 6:27am] "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

I don't know whether the movie lost focus or I did
but I was lost at "I was listening to a Jimmie Rodgers record and I thought who is that on trumpet, is it Louis Armstrong ...." *murks browser*

When I first clicked on it, I thought it would be like a Classic Albums set, but it was clear from when I looked at it, it wasn't going to be anything like that. I still try to see if people were interested. So if the video bores and drags, my apologies.
