Yeah, I set up TiVo to record the 106 & Park preshow. I happened to turn it on and heard the annoying (but hot) female host attempting to speak "hood" and then introducing some rapper who comes out to some casio keyboard beat doing his best Puffy impersonation with the "uh, yeah...uh, yeah...uh, yeah". I immediately yanked the TiVo out and threw it out the window.
Okay, not really...but I stopped recording the damn thing. I don't think I could stomach two hours of that shit... • Did you first think Prince was gay? •
Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

- I had absolutely no intentions of watching this show but there has been a bit change in plans
- Seems like I'll be flicking back and forth between TVONE and BET trying to catch a bit of the MJ tributes IF they are decent [Edited 6/28/09 16:28pm]

there's no way I could sit through that. Not even for Michael. I'll be real disappointed in bboy87 if he watches it. I just don't see a good tribute at all. He left a legacy but it wasn't a good legacy as some artists have proven...

- Unfortunately yes; he may be the reason why quite a few people check it out; I will not however sit through the entire show

Even worse, they may have a live performance of that horrible tribute song. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I thought I might try to watch it, but I can't even make it through the 106th & Park pre-show. These hosts are TERRIBLE! I don't know where they found these people but they have no stage presence at all, and their announcing skills are severely lacking. I can't even comment on the lousy performances thus far.
I am going to turn to the Florence Ballard UnSung instead. I can't take BET. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

Let's be real, this is a rare situation where the elders are the most suitable to honor Michael. At least IMO. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

- Guess I'll just keep a lookout for people who've been in the business for at least about 20 years or people paying tribute via talking
- Ain't no way I was going to watch Justin Timberlake anyway
