Have to say I'm impressed. Of course people still are trying to hold on to 1985-1992 Whitney but I don't mind this at all. Least she's surviving. Good pop ballad. Glad she's back. smile

Thanks, Harle. biggrin

I love the fact that she didn't exceed her vocal limits, she's working within her "recent" vocal range and she gave emotional depth to the song, which made it a winner in my book.

I don't even care that it sounds like it was written by wack ass Diane Warren,,,,but make no mistake, I'd settle with Nippy singing for Diane instead of QueeNY-Yo bored2 lol

nice song but she sounds really really tired that my own throat hurts just listening to her neutral

but didn't she already try that theme/formula with that On My Own song and it didn't work?

Whitney have been singing the same "proud" theme since Greatest Love Of All.

I'm not bothered by it all. And I love the "edge" in her voice, its a quality that clearly wasn't in her music previous to "My Love Is Your Love", only now its more pronounced.

I love raspy/husky voices love

Yeah Whitney knows due to her past that there's ranges she can't reach anymore. I love the raspier Whitney too. cool

i like the raspyness of her voice too aisha. i just find the song to be too big for her current vocal shape, which clearly shows as it starts building up for the climax.

they could've at least given her an AC ballad that enhances the beauty of what she's got left of her range, rather than pointing out what she's lost from it hammer

That's the voice and song of a survivor! She sent herself to hell but she brought herself back to be able to sing about it when others were planning her memorial! I ain't mad at her at all, as long as she stays clean and focused! clapping
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Least this song has more value than "Try It On My Own" did, that's when she didn't know HOW to do it on her own but now it's a new day. nod Go Whitney! biggrin

I kinda dig the way her voice has, uhh, "aged." That she doesn't sound like she used to doesn't bother me. The song, on the other hand, is just shrug Typical Whitney, survivor stuff. She better have a good "Kiss my asssss!" song on there somewhere.

Yeah I like "In My Business". Funny I remember I used to sing "My Name is Not Susan" just to get on my sister's nerves. She was always singing it using another girl's name! falloff
