Moonwalker (Sega and arcade).....Space Channel 5.....Ready 2 Rumble: Round 2.....And any other game with create player mode so I can make Michael Jackson....The most exciting video games I've ever played.
I was looking forward to the new MJ game that was rumored to be coming out near Christmas this year. Can U imagine how incredible he would have looked on a PS3 or Xbox 360 game?? Especially if it's like a 3D remake of Moonwalker??? 50 cent's game would be a joke in comparison, lol. I don't know how the company can start it now without his speaking voice, unless they just use his music. I wish he would have focused on cool, mellow ideas like that instead of those doggone strenuous concerts. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. I've been told it was canceled because of a controversial episode with Minister Louis Farrakhan that upset the network. But I've never researched for the exact reason, so I'm not entirely sure. Now, Viacom STILL won't allow his seasons to be released on DVD box sets. An online petition was started, but I don't know if it's received any attention from the company. "Being a huge fan, I was – of course – extremely nervous to meet him. Michael was unquestionably eccentric, but to my surprise, he was warm, curious, amusing, and un-temperamental. I was particularly struck by how this legendary megastar became just another affectionate, playful, protective big brother whenever Janet was around.
"I took the opportunity to chat with him between takes and he always skewed the conversation away from himself. He asked about my childhood, my favorite films, if I knew how to swim, my religion, etc. My mother visited the set, and Michael immediately charmed her, asking her to hold his jacket while he filmed, giving her a warm hug and kiss as he left the set each day. My mom felt like she had a new best friend. The chance to experience the phenomenon of his gift from only a few feet away was the treat of a lifetime. Over those ten days of filming, I felt like I had the single greatest job in the world. And I think, perhaps, I actually did. I’m sorry his life became so horrendously complicated. As a person, he didn’t actually seem that complicated to me." Mark Romanek http://music-mix.ew.com/2...ckson.html | |

ok, thanks to the people that left us the tip about changing the profile to allow us to reply on this long ass thread!!! i have tried for days and never been able to say anything because it crashes my computer!
as to the events of the last week... it is STILL so unreal that he died. i watch this stuff on tv everyday, and i have watched this circus unfold into the mess that it is now but i still cant believe that he is gone! it just seems to incredibly unreal... there was a few comments i left awhile back about his father and that i refused to judge him as i have never walked in his shoes nor have i lost a child so i have no idea how incredibly hurt he must be. however... that was PRIOR to the BET awards show that i watched in HORROR, shaking my head nearly all the way through it - until i was so incredibly sick to my stomach that i had to turn it off. that man sitting there (and sometimes standing), apparently 'dancing' to the music and clapping his hands with a FUCKING SMILE on his face was waaaaay more than i could wrap my mind around. he was dressed to kill and smiling so big all i could think about was how in the HELL did he do that??? and WHY would he do that???? im telling you that if anything EVER happened to any of my children i would be a waste of a human - a shell of nothing laying under the covers in my bed completely unavailable to any of the outside world. i dont care WHO was going to be honoring my child - or what sort of love they would be sharing... i know myself, and i know - or i think i know, what it would do to me as a mother to lose my baby.... to see him that night was like someone hit me in the stomach with the realization that the man apparently couldnt care less and he is relatively unmoved about the whole situation... its the UGLIEST display of greed i have witnessed in quite sometime, God bless his soul, he will answer for these actions whew... i needed to get that off my chest... as far as mike goes... wow man, seriously? the sadest part to me is that a man who for all we could see had it made - had reached the top and had the world in his hands, could still be so sad on the inside. he describes himself as 'lonely'... thats heartbreaking. like i said before, i wasnt a huge fan of his by any means in the past like 10 years, and i am guilty of wondering what the hell he was doing in his life - so many things were questionable and straight up odd. i am sad for the younger mike, the one i was in love with many years ago, the one that was BEAUTIFUL just the way he was born, the man that could make all people feel so touched by his talents, the one that seemed untouchable and undistructable - i am sad that in his heart he was lonely. and i am sad that even with what seemed to be the world behind him, it was still easy enough to fall prey to the depression that it had to take to mess himself up so badly. this is an incredible story with a VERY sad ending. RIP mike, i pray that in heaven you found the happiness that you couldnt have here on earth oh, and i hope that you see all the things that are happening on earth now and that there really was love from so many in your name.... One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111

Elvis Presley and John Lennon have long since established the rule that some stars are worth more dead than alive. Michael Jackson, a sales record breaker in his lifetime, looks set to become even more of a phenomenon in the afterlife. According to sales statistics compilers Nielsen Soundscan, Jackson sold 2.6 million digital songs in the US last week, easily a one-week record. More than 110,000 physical Jackson albums were purchased in the US during the first two days of this week alone, with music trade magazine Billboard estimating Jackson accounted for about 60% of all U.S. album sales, and suggestions that he could secure the top 9 album chart places. If you extrapolate those sales across the world then it looks like Jackson’s death may turn out to be the most lucrative in pop history. Amazon.com sold as many Jackson albums in the 24 hours after his death as it had managed to flog in the previous 11 years, while HMV saw an 80-fold jump in sales of his recordings, and reported that Jackson was outstripping sales of Presley and Lennon after their deaths. His 198tk single ‘Man In The Mirror’ is currently fighting it out for the number one spot in the UK with Cascada’s ‘Evacuate The Dance Floor’ (I wonder why that one in particular? Perhaps because it hints at psychological trouble and self doubt, while remaining uplifting, while covering all musical bases by shifting from a quasi ballad to a dance floor workout).

I'm too young to remember much of anything from the pepsi era to know how the use of this commercial played out but perhaps they cut ties with him around the time of it's release so it didn't get much air play if at all? I also wonder if this is the video rumors began about him wanting a white child to play him? [Edited 7/5/09 22:20pm] 12/05/2011
