On the Holiday front instead there are some changes. As previously reported exclusively here the song already contained vocal lines and music samples of Everybody (Dance and Sing Get Up And Do Your Thing) and the new track Celebrate but now as a homage to the late Michael Jackson, Madonna has been rehearsing the song with a whole middle part of MJ music in it. There's the famous "Billie Jean" drum beat and the "Wanna Be Starting Something" hook (the "Mama-se, mama-sa, ma-ma-coo-sa" stuff). Totally a dance number perfect for the 80's part of the show!! Fans will love it! I'm not a madonna fan but I respect what she's doing here .. well done. Da, Da, Da....Emancipation....Free..don't think I ain't..! London 21 Nights...Clap your hands...you know the rest..
James Brown & Michael Jackson RIP, your music still lives with us!

I have just come back from the grocery store, and whilst I was there they were playing "Ben" it took all the effort in the world for me to stop myself from bursting into tears whilst I was being served. Michael did alot of touching songs but right now I can't stand to hear "Ben" especially in a public place. I am alright with all the other ballads but not "Ben". I also tear up from hearing "Wannabe Where you You R" even though it is quite an upbeat song.

Obama Says He Grew Up Listening to Michael Jackson
Obama praises Michael Jackson, says he still has the entertainer's music on his iPod By NATASHA T. METZLER Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON July 2, 2009 (AP) The King of Pop had a fan in the White House. President Barack Obama described himself as a longtime follower of Michael Jackson, the legendary performer who died June 25 at age 50. "I grew up on his music still have all his stuff on my iPod," Obama said in an AP interview Thursday, adding that Jackson "will go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers." At the time of his death, the pop icon was preparing a series of comeback concerts to overcome years of sexual scandal and financial calamity — a troubled history the president acknowledged without naming specifics. If AEG wanted to prove MJ was fine with the release of the rehearsal footage. That didnt help You would assume they chose a section where he was showing energy and that footage he looked awful! Why would you have 100's of dancers complete to be on stage, we saw the trials and they were all bringing it! Then then get on stage with the man... and do these simple slow dance moves to hide MJ was well sick or not able to move anymore.
What was sick or sad was from doing those simple slow dance moves at the very end of that he was breathing really hard!!! He was sick and there is no way he would have been able to do 10 concerts not alone 50! [Edited 7/3/09 7:40am]

Its odd how they chose a 1 minute piece from entire 100 hours of rehearsal, that's the best they could come up with. AEG has a lot of explaining to do. Why not show something from Smooth Criminal, or Thriller? Instead they chose They Don't Care about Us? [Edited 7/3/09 7:43am]

AEG Backtracks Over Memorial Tickets July 2009 Link After sparking outrage Thursday for reportedly putting tickets for Michael Jackson's forthcoming memorial service for $25, AEG Live has decided to withdrawal the offer. "I can confirm that we will not be charging," an AEG Live spokesperson confirmed late Thursday. According to AEG Live, 11,000 tickets will be available for free. Jackson's expected memorial service was confirmed Wednesday and will take place at Los Angeles' Staples Center. The service will also utilize the nearby Nokia Theater. At this time a lottery system is expected to be set up and revealed Friday. AEG will hold a televised news conference at 1 pm in Los Angeles to discuss plans.
