Technically this song could be a Michael Jackson solo joint:

Yes it is. I can remember this song as a freshman in high school. We used
to jam to this on the way home from school. It was a prelude to Thriller.
He did all the vocals on Heartbreak Hotel. If you listen to the Victory
album, Be Not Always and State of Shock can be considered MJ solo songs
as well. I remember right before the release of Victory, MJ spoke of Be Not
Always and how the song would always make him cry.
Let me add for someone brings it up. lol
I know State of Shock is a duet with Mick Jagger but i'm calling it
a MJ solo record because although it was on the Jacksons album i'm
willing to bet the other brothers had no involvement in this record.
[Edited 7/2/09 19:41pm]

I do not and did not like "State of Shock."
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Has anyone here seen "The Jacksons: An American Dream"? I've always wondered this

When they show "Michael" recording "Human Nature", why does it say 1983 when Thriller came out in 1982? Also, when "Berry" went to the Motown studio to convince Michael to perform on Motown 25, Michael was mixing "Beat It". Why was he mixing that song? (the real reason why. I remember Michael saying he was mixing it, but does anyone know why?)

They gave wrong years on when MJ recorded "Human Nature". The way the film had it Michael recorded it at Hayvenhurst when he really recorded it at Westlake Studios. I don't know why MJ was mixing "Beat It" at Motown studios but MJ somehow corroborated that story.

It's a great movie but a lot of the dates are off.

They have Mike being born in 1959, There is a scene from 1970 and Rockin' Robin is being played. They are rehearsing Dancing Machine at home in 1976 with Jermaine, J left in 75. And you already listed the other two Thriller tracks being recorded in 83'

You are not being honest with yourself. If you read my post I clearly said "MAYBE that's why he ditched the Run DMC collaboration". Do you understand the meaning of the word "maybe"? Do I really have to clarify something so basic?

Dude, your comments especially after Mj's death make my skin crawl disbelief , I would respect someone's death even if he was my enemy.

If I'm not mistaken, in Michael's "Moonwalk" book, he even mentions mixing "Beat It" at the Motown Studios in 1983, but he never gave a reason WHY he was doing it. I'm sure it's not a big deal, but that made me wonder.

After my rants earlier on today, yesterday and days before, I'm no longer angry at anything about Michael. His music will definitely live on. Now he's a part of the immortal soul men of our times:

Ray Charles
Sam Cooke
Marvin Gaye
James Brown
Otis Redding
Curtis Mayfield
Donny Hathaway
Jackie Wilson
Rick James
Johnnie Taylor
Michael Jackson

Brothers, your little brother has join y'all in that soul music festival in the sky. fro angel dove

Fans To Be Charged $25 To Attend Michael Jackson's Memorial Service

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Fans can now attend Michael Jackson's memorial service for only $25! The star-studded memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday would reportedly charge fans for the event.

RadarOnline.com has learned that the general public will be asked to pay $25 to sit in the stands, while the King of Pop's family and friends and other VIPs will sit on the main floor of the venue.

To those who wish to attend will have their money's worth, however. The memorial service will reportedly feel like a concert production featuring guest speakers. Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross, two of the "Thriller" hitmaker's closest friends are expected to attend. There will be a lot of music and video screens inside and outside Staples.

An elephant parade with circus performers will take place immediately after the service.

His now-canceled "This Is It" tour t-shirts will be sold outside the venue for people who would enter the place.

Michael Jackson's memorial service will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. PST.
