Jay Z, Lil Wayne......performance question.

I watched the Lil Wayne, Jay Z and other rappers at the BET awards the other night with an open mind. I came away extremely unimpressed. 4 those that enjoyed the performance can u please tell me what u liked about it?

I really don't get it.

Lil Wayne's performance was utter trash to me. I don't get him at all, I don't get why he is even the top rapper right now.

But for Jay-Z, yes I did enjoy his performance, for one he had a live band, and for two, the stuff he was saying about how rap has been watered down by autotune, was right on point. And yes, I would love for someone to shut T-Pain down, I don't even understand how that bear is even a celebrity. So all in all, it was what Jay-Z was saying in his performance that made me enjoy it.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I asked this question because I can't get anything out of the performances the other night. Jay Z sing some old ass baseball chat out of tune rapping about Autotune. The Irony.....

That germ known as Lil Wayne is an insult 2 hiphop, music and entertainment in general.

Well, I really haven't heard anyone else step up and talk about the misuse of auto tune and how it really originated back in the day. The kids today seem to think that its this new "it" thing, creating a new sound when its just being reincarnated and overused. What else do you suggest Jay-Z should be talking about if you disagree with this???

The lyrics of Jay Z's song was on point.....but song doesn't move me in any way. It doesn't sound like anything.

i respect your opinion, but for me, its not about the beat, his words are powerful enough.

One thing is for sure - they were NOT influenced in any way by the Beatles.
