I've turned off the news for the rest of the week I had it on for a minute but with the volume down. I can't do it anymore. I need a news break. Plus Roger Friedman was on! There's nothing he could say that I want to hear. Eventually I just turned it off. It's all the same stuff. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

We haven't seen a thing yet.that goes for all the people who "knew" him coming out of the woodwork with stories too. As for me, as a musician and an american, i truly hate to lose any of our national treasures it's even worse to lose them in the fashion that michael appears to go out. He had a million victories and still ended up defeated, that is truly sad to me.
That's why I'm hopping they don't make his burial site known to the public. We don't want what happened to Charlie Chaplin happen to MJ! I'm actually more scared of what the haters would do to the body then the MJ fans. I've heard some pretty awful thing of what they would love to do to him and his grave.

You know what I want to happen: that Michael gets a private funeral where only his family and some friends can get away to mourn and either bury or cremate or whatever they're going to do. In order to stop PR mess, you have to do something that is not expected. I really want him to be cremated and have his family spread his ashes in the Pacific Ocean like they did several other artists.

I don't think his family wants to cremate him.

Heard on CNN that there will most likely be a public memorial for Michael on Tuesday at the Staples Center or something like that. We'll see. That kinda sounds crazy...
Also, they caught up with Bubbles at a primate sanctuary in Florida (I think they said FL). I always wondered what happened to him. Funny, I had brought up Diana Ross in this thread and felt kinda silly for mentioning someone so far into Michael's past. Yet, her name re-emerged today via his will. Well, by all accounts, she's been an excellent mother to her kids. I hope it wasn't a surprise to her lol.... "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..."

Timmy84 said: Jackson Nurse to Michael: "This Is Not Safe Medicine"
Today 8:23 AM PDT by Josh Grossberg Was Michael Jackson so desperate to get some shut-eye that he ignored the advice of his nurse when it came to sedatives? While we won't know definitively for several weeks, when toxicology tests come back, the King of Pop's nutritionist, Cherilyn Lee, is making the media rounds claiming she warned Jackson about certain drugs just five days before his sudden death from cardiac arrest. In an interview with ABC News, Lee, also a registered nurse, said Jackson was suffering terribly from insomnia and practically begged her for Diprivan, a general anesthetic normally administered in hospitals to knock people out before surgeries and not routinely prescribed to patients with sleeping disorders. "He said, 'Find me an anesthesiologist—I don't care how much money they want—find me an anesthesiologist to be with me here overnight and give me this IV,' " she recounted. Lee said the 50-year-old singer complained his body felt cold on one side and hot on the other. She said she warned him about potentially lethal side effects, including cardiac arrest if combined with other prescription medication. "I said, 'This is not a safe medicine, please don't take this.' " 'I look at you, Michael, and I've been around you long enough now, I love you as family. I would not give this to anyone.' " A practitioner of holistic medicine, Lee said she has worked with many celebrities in L.A. She met Jackson in January and, she says, mainly treated his children for colds. While Jackson seemed to be adamant about getting his hands on Diprivan, Lee admitted she never actually saw him take the drug. When she asked him what doctor may have prescribed him the sleeping agent in the past, he wouldn't say. Investigators for the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office have confirmed to E! News that they removed prescription medication from Jackson's rented Holmby Hills house where he passed away, but refused to identify the drugs. Media speculation has focused on Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician, who discovered the superstar unconscious in bed and administered CPR. Edward Chertoff, an attorney for Murray, issued a statement over the weekend denying that his client gave the entertainer certain painkillers, specifically Demerol and OxyContin (which had been named as possible causes of death in various news reports) but making no mention of Diprivan. I was flipping through the channels while ago and came across Greta on the Fox Channel (yeah, even they are reporting on Michael Jackson ) Anyway, I stopped and listened because she was interviewing someone that knew something about this medicine and it caught my interest. The man told Greta that this drug is placed in your arm by a needle and a tube is placed in your mouth and within forty seconds, you are put to sleep. Someone has to be there to monitor your blood pressure, help you breathe while you are under, and wake you up afterwards. The man said this medicine is never prescribed for people at home and is always for use under the supervision of trained professionals with constant supervision. This reminds me of last February when I had to get three wisdom teeth pulled. I was scared to death because I have never had any type of surgery in my whole life. I was sitting in the dentist's chair and a nurse put a needle in my arm, then a tube in my mouth. I was crying and freaking out scared out of my mind, when she asked me one question..."What's been going on at your job" to which I replied.."Who the hell cares. I'm worried about what's going on right here". Anyway, that's the last I remember about it and the only thing I remember afterwards, was being placed into my sister's car with my teeth already pulled and stitches in my mouth. Those folks were good. Anyway, hearing the circumstances of how the drug is taken that Michael Jackson wanted, it reminded me of that. And this wasn't something to get you high and make you feel good. This was something to put you to sleep so you don't feel no pain. It makes me wonder what kind of pain Michael was in if he wanted this. He would have to be in some terrible pain because, as I said before, it's not something to take for pleasure as in getting high or drunk. It's something to knock you the fuck out. . . . He said that black music was ghettoized until Michael Jackson showed up, in other words, Michael was the first black man to do what he did. He totally disrespected Motown Records and the rock 'n' roll movement of the fifties and sixties when he said this. That's why some of us are upset at him. He don't know what the fuck he's talking about. I never saw anything ghetto in black music until shit hop took over in the 1990s and Michael had already reached his peak by then and was on his way down. So Michael didn't take the ghetto out of black music because it didn't become ghetto until Michael was on his way down. They got so ghetto and Michael and everyone else that wasn't shit hop become totally ignored. Andy is a four letter word.

RIP Mike
Guys, I wanna thank you for this thread. This is the only place I have been to since MJ passed away. And so far I think it was the right choice (the news sounds like an ugly mess). So now I finally read the last post on part 3. Man, I really don’t get it even though it is almost a week now. I still can’t listen to his music again. Went to the Apollo (frenzy) yesterday and didn’t think it would be that packed so I just stayed their to see the love and spirit (but didn’t have to listen to the Rev) But the music… that brought me tears again. My girlfriend and I went to DC last Thursday and while we were strolling the city she told me under the Lincoln memorial that she overheard two different conversations that something was wrong with MJ (I guess she didn’t want upset me too much) and that we should head back to the hotel. On the way back people where gathering around car radios and people were shouting so it was obvious that the worst case just happened. As so many I also lost my childhood idol and I never thought it would hit me so hard. My first concert ever was one of his Dangerous concerts in ’92 in Stockholm and man I was flying home that night! Thanks to all the uplifting posts, so many right words, the calmness, decency and in more recent posts the orgish flavor. BlueNote

They said if you tried it alongside prescription drugs, it could easily kill you. You don't even need the full scale of Deprivan to kill your body.
