We've learned Michael Jackson was not the biological father of any of his children. And Debbie Rowe is not the biological mother of the two kids she bore for Michael.
All three children were conceived in vitro -- outside the womb.

Multiple sources deeply connected to the births tell us Michael was not the sperm donor for any of his kids. Debbie's eggs were not used. She was merely the surrogate, and paid well for her services in the births of Michael Jr. and Paris.

In the case of Prince Michael II (the youngest), we're told the surrogate was never told of the identity of the "receiving parent" -- Michael Jackson. Three days after Prince was born at Grossmont Hospital in San Diego County, Jackson's lawyer came to the hospital to pick the baby up and deliver him to Michael.

We do not know if Jackson chose the sperm or egg donors or if he even knew who they were.

Although Rowe is not the biological mother, it's not a slam dunk that she would lose a custody battle. This type of case has never been litigated in California courts. Since Rowe was married to Jackson when Michael Jr. and Paris were born, there's a presumption that she's the biological parent. That presumption can be rebutted by other evidence.

We know there are documents outlining the whole arrangement for the birth of all three kids. Nonetheless, it's still an open issue with the courts.

Michael Jackson's will from 2002 has surfaced, according to TMZ and the Wall Street Journal:

http://online.wsj.com/art...71569.html

Jackson Will From 2002 In Spotlight
By ETHAN SMITH

A will drafted by Michael Jackson in 2002 which divides the singer's estate among his mother, three children and one or more charities could play a central role in determining how his tangled financial relationships will be unwound.

Several people close to the late Mr. Jackson said that a lawyer for the pop singer could submit the will, believed to be his last, to Los Angeles Superior Court as soon as Thursday. That filing would cap a tense period in which relatives and advisers of the late singer debated what document, if any, was valid.

One or two other earlier wills have emerged since Mr. Jackson's death last Thursday, according to people familiar with the situation. The Associated Press reported that Mr. Jackson's parents, Joseph and Katherine Jackson, said in a Monday court filing that they believed the singer had died without a valid will. Joseph Jackson isn't believed to be included in the most recent will.

In an email message, a lawyer for Mr. Jackson's parents said neither he nor his clients had seen the 2002 will. "No will has been presented to family or us," wrote the lawyer, L. Londell McMillan, who also once represented Michael Jackson. "We will review any will when we see it."

Mr. McMillan said that he had spent much of Monday trying to ensure that Mr. Jackson's mother would receive custody of the singer's three children. A Los Angeles court on Monday granted her temporary custody pending a hearing in July. Mr. McMillan said the family is "pleased" with that decision. It wasn't clear what custody arrangements are called for by the 2002 will.

This will names as executors lawyer John Branca and a veteran music executive named John McClain who was also a friend of Mr. Jackson. Mr. Branca, who served as Mr. Jackson's primary attorney between 1980 and 2006, wrote the will. Mr. Jackson had rehired Mr. Branca the week before his death last Thursday. Mr. Branca didn't respond to requests for comment Monday; Mr. McClain couldn't be reached.

Unwinding Mr. Jackson's estate is likely to be a thorny challenge, given the size and complexity of both the assets and the debts involved. In all, Mr. Jackson died with around $500 million debt, but the value of his assets probably outweigh that, possibly by $200 million or more, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Jackson's most valuable asset is believed to be his 50% stake in Sony/ATV Music Publishing, a joint venture with Sony Corp. That stake is collateral for a $300 million loan held by Barclays PLC. And Mr. Jackson's level of control over the venture was reduced in a 2006 refinancing. For instance, he no longer has veto power over key executive appointments, according to people familiar with the situation. Sony also has the right to buy half of Mr. Jackson's 50% stake when it chooses.

Mr. Jackson's other assets include Mijac, a publishing catalog that comprises his own musical composition that is collateral for a separate $73 million loan. And control of the master recordings of his albums, currently in the hands of Sony, is set to revert to him in five years, according to people familiar with the matter.

But Mr. Jackson last year defaulted on a $24.5 million loan backed by another major component of his portfolio, Neverland Valley Ranch. He then became a partner in a venture -- Sycamore Valley Ranch Co., LLC -- that now owns the property. It is not clear what will become of the property once the will is executed.

Apart from the wrangling over the will, funeral arrangements also remained a subject of debate among family members, with logistical and other issues contributing to apparent gridlock in planning, according to people familiar with the situation.

At a news conference Monday morning outside the family's home in Encino, Calif., Joseph Jackson was asked whether funeral arrangements had been made. "We're not ready for that yet," the elder Mr. Jackson said, repeating the words of Rev. Al Sharpton, who stood at his side.

Also on Monday, concert promoter AEG Live unveiled plans to refund the $85 million worth of tickets it sold for the 50 concerts Mr. Jackson planned to give in London starting July 13. Buyers will be given a choice between receiving a cash refund, including service fees, or a ticket as a sourvenir.

A spokesman for AEG, a division of Anschutz Corp., said that any cash that remains unclaimed would go toward covering its production costs, which are estimated to be above $20 million. Profits beyond that would go to Mr. Jackson's estate, the spokesman added. It wasn't clear how much, if any, of its insurance coverage AEG is likely to collect.

Michael Set To Rock Billboard Charts
June 29
Link

Michael Jackson is about to rock the Billboard charts.

Nielsen SoundScan's sales numbers won't be released until Wednesday (July 1) morning, but industry prognosticators indicate that three of Jackson's albums -- "Number Ones," "The Essential Michael Jackson" and "Thriller" -- each sold around 100,000 copies last week. The sales tracking week ended at the close of business on Sunday (June 28) night.

To compare, Jackson's entire catalog of solo albums sold 10,000 in the week that ended June 21.

The aforementioned titles will also be the top three albums on Billboard's Top Pop Catalog chart, and Jackson may lock up anywhere between six to nine slots in tally's the top 10.

Other Jackson albums looking to make a big splash on the chart include "Off the Wall, "Bad," "Dangerous" and his box set "The Ultimate Collection." Additionally, two Jackson 5 compilations -- "The Ultimate Collection" and "20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection" -- are both doing brisk business.

Previously, the record for the most concurrent top 10 titles by an act was five. Both AC/DC and the Beatles managed that feat. There is also the chance that the entire top 10 on the Pop Catalog chart may be filled with Jackson-related titles, counting the two Jackson 5 compilations.

Last week's No. 1 on the Pop Catalog chart was TobyMac's "Portable Sounds" with 9,000 copies sold. The Pop Catalog chart, established in 1991, houses albums that are at least 18 months old. Catalog albums are ineligible to appear on the Billboard 200 albums chart, though they can chart on the all-encompassing Top Comprehensive Albums list.

Last year, Jackson's expanded reissue of "Thriller" pushed the set to a re-entry at No. 1 on the Pop Catalog tally with 166,000 copies sold in its first week.

With the Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." looking to recapture the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 chart with slightly less than 100,000, this week will mark the first time a catalog album has sold more than the No. 1 current release.

The bulk of Jackson's album sales came from digital retailers, as many brick and mortar stores quickly ran out of available stock. Sources say his "Essential Michael Jackson," "Number Ones" and "Thriller" each sold more than 30,000 digital albums, with "Essential" moving more than 70,000 downloads alone.

The digital impact will also be felt on our Hot Digital Songs chart, where the King of Pop is certain to make a big splash. His digital track sales went from about 40,000 the week ending June 21 to around 1.8 million last week. His top sellers will include "Man in the Mirror," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Billie Jean" and "Smooth Criminal."

I wonder how much of a bump the Jacksons' albums received. It'd be cool to see Destiny and Triumph get more recognition, but I'm sure The Essential Jacksons would be their top album.

Some amazing comments & memories from recording engineer Rob Hoffman, made yesterday on a recording forum. Hopefully this ends once & forall, the ridiculous debates there have been whether MJ was an amazing "musician"!

_____
Some random memories:

His sense of harmony was incredible. Never a bad note, no tuning, even his breathing was perfectly in time.

I was assisting Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis while they recorded the background vocals for "Scream" with MJ and Janet. The two of them singing together was amazing. Super tight, no bad notes. One part after another. When they took a break they sang the showtunes they used to sing as kids. Again, perfect harmony. Mj refused to sing the "stop f*ckin' with me part" because he would NOT curse.

EXCLUSIVE: Dermatologist Is Father of Michael Jackson's Kids
Tuesday June 30, 2009

Though Michael Jackson was wed to Prince and Paris' mother, Debbie Rowe, their biological father is Arnold Klein, Jackson's L.A.-based dermatologist and Rowe's former boss, multiple sources confirm to the new issue of Us Weekly.

"He is the dad," says a Jackson insider. "He and Debbie signed an agreement saying they would never reveal the truth."

Though neither Rowe nor Jackson ever confessed to their kids' true lineage, she did admit in 2002 that she carried his children as a personal favor (and would not confirm that the marriage was ever consummated).

"I said, 'Let me do this. You need to be a dad. You have been so good to me,'" Rowe -- who met Jackson when she was a nurse's assistant in the 1980s -- has said.

Klein would not give a comment to Us.

We've learned the LAPD wants to talk to Michael Jackson's longtime dermatologist
Arnold Klein about drugs he may have prescribed or given Michael Jackson.

We're told Klein has already gotten a lawyer but as far as we know the LAPD has not spoken with him.

Michael Jackson was seen repeatedly going in and out of Dr. Klein's Beverly Hills office in the months before he died.

i'm going to spend two hours with my therapist dealing with early childhood tramua. not going to be fun, but i can't get better with out it. Michael played the biggest whole in this by not taking care of himself. not joe, not the media, MICHAEL. i feel sorry for his family and for him, however it all could have been avoided with some good weekly therapy.

You're assuming MJ's problems are of a similar order to yours. You're lucky if therapy works for you, but Mike's problems were not the kind you could share with ANYONE, even a therapist (for obvious reasons).

The rest of your post is spot on though. Joseph is a scumbag of the first order, but he is NOT TO BLAME for Michael's issues. Joseph didn't treat Michael any worse than he treated the other kids. In fact, Michael got far less abuse than them because he didn't mess up as much as them. By all accounts Marlon got beaten ten times more than Mike, yet Marlon turned out relatively normal. Here is the dirty little secret that's been ignored. Michael was a..... HAPPY CHILD! He was outgoing and fun loving. He only became unhappy and withdrawn when adolescence kicked in and he became aware of his sexuality. Years later when he needed an excuse for his disturbing lifestyle he used the "lost childhood" cliche and turned his father into a scapegoat.

I don't know what kind of backgrounds you guys have, but in my experience getting beaten by one or both of your parents is EXTREMELY COMMON! I don't advocate it myself, but it is not something that damages people for life. As for the "lost childhood", that applies to absolutely every successful tennis player too, but most of them are not sharing their bed with children in order to recapture their youth.

One of the few upsides to his death will be that people can have retrospection. We will all look back at his career and remember that he was genuinely a great american artist. As with Elvis, all the stupid stuff will be less important in death. I was just watching the Panther sequence from Black and White, the kind of stuff that the world will be reminded of. Entertainers all have their faults but there is a time when the great ones cannot be touched by any of it, and that time is when they are doing what they do best, no one can take that away from MJ.

First target of Michael Jackson's obsession with boys says: 'What he did was wrong.. but I forgive him'

Terry George leapt up excitedly as the phone rang. It was 9pm and he knew exactly who it would be… the most unlikely best friend a 13-year-old boy could have.

It was none other than his pop idol Michael Jackson, who had been calling his Leeds home like clockwork for the past five months after striking up a bizarre relationship.

But this time the besotted young fan’s excitement soon turned to shock and embarrassment as Jacko’s voice crackled down the line.

“He’d ring at 9pm on the dot three times a week and we became like best friends,” Terry recalled. “But on this night he sounded different. The line went quiet and I asked if he was still there.

“Then, suddenly out of nowhere, he asked me if I masturbated and that if I did, did I use cream? I was puzzled

and said no. I said I didn’t know what he meant.

“When I paused he said, ‘Would you believe that I am doing it right now?’ and I could hear down the line he was making strange noises. It made me feel confused and uncomfortable.”

Yesterday Terry – now 42 and a multi-millionaire businessman – said: “Michael was a musical legend and genius. But what he did when I was a teenager was wrong.”

He was the first victim of the star’s obsession with children which would ultimately cripple his career.

Jacko, accused of abusing several young boys, was never convicted of any crime. But multi-million-dollar pay-offs to families and a warped insistence that it was OK to share his bed with boys has left a permanent stain on his legacy.

It was in 1993 that young Jordan Chandler claimed in a police statement he was abused at the singer’s Neverland ranch.

Yet more disturbing allegations followed. Jacko’s obsession with children started when he befriended Terry in 1979.

They met when the youngster turned up at his hotel and asked his idol, then 21, for an interview.

“He invited me into his hotel room and we got on brilliantly,” Terry said. “As I went to leave he invited me to hang out with him the next day at the hotel.

“We would sit and giggle and laugh together. It was clear he was happier to be around children than adults and enjoyed their company.”

Before Jacko flew out he asked Terry for his telephone number so they could keep in touch.

“It made me feel special. I got a buzz knowing I had a direct line to a celebrity so I agreed and he promised he would ring me.”

Just a week later came the first of Jacko’s regular calls from America. Terry recalled: “He’d often ask if my parents were in. And when I explained that they had gone out to play bingo he would relax.

“We would chat for hours about silly stuff. He’d sing songs to me down the phone and we’d talk nonsense. We became like best friends.”

Advertisement - article continues below »

Then, only months into their friendship, Jacko abused his trust with the call encouraging Terry to pleasure himself.

“He knew that I wasn’t happy with what he had done and that I felt uncomfortable about it.”

However, they stayed in touch, taking turns to call. That ended when Terry rang up a massive bill and his parents’ line got cut off. In 1981 they met face-to-face again in the UK – but this time Jacko was frosty. “I’ve no idea why his attitude towards me had changed,” Terry said.

They lost contact soon after. Then, suddenly in 1993, Terry got a call from LA detectives on the Chandler case.

Terry said: “The police told me that they felt Michael’s behaviour started with his friendship with me.

“Although I knew what he did was wrong I believed him to be a very confused person rather than a paedophile.”

Yet the investigation which followed suggested a very different story. Dozens of children and former staff, including cancer survivor Gavin Arvizo, came forward claiming he’d abused kids.

He was accused of forcing kids to drink “Jesus Juice” – wine in Coke cans – and watch porn in a hidden room off his bedroom.

His alleged victims claimed the King of Pop pleasured himself in front of them – and insisted on “teaching” them how to do it.

At a trial that followed, Jacko was found not guilty of all the charges.

Yet friends say the claims sent him retreating into his own secluded world.

Earlier this year in a shock call to Terry, Jacko laid bare his misery.

Terry said: “He phoned me out of the blue and we both made our peace about what had happened in the past. I’ve forgiven him for what happened.

“He told me he had been under a lot of pressure recently. I think he was a very confused man who never grew up and lived a tormented life.”

He went on: “He said that people were forced to say things that they later regret.

“But he insisted his love for children was entirely innocent.”

Terry also revealed that Jacko had taken a strong interest in the website he’d founded, Gonetoo soon.org – where users post tributes to people who die young.

“He had been on the site and said he was touched to see some of the messages,” he said. “It had left him very sad and emotional.

“It’s unbelievable that three months on he is dead. After all the strain and torment he has lived through I thought he would live forever. And I am sad that he is gone.”

It's amazing how many abused people forgive their abusers. I guess it's easier for Terry George since it was an isolated incident over the phone, not in person. Later victims didn't get off so lightly.

this is from a tabloid.

Ohio Woman Allegedly Blames Arson on Stress Over Michael Jackson's Death

Tuesday, June 30, 2009
AP

An Ohio woman allegedly told police that stress over Michael Jackson's death led her to commit arson in the bathroom of a local bar.

Authorities say Amanda Jarvis set fire to the women's restroom at Bootleggers Bar in Lorain, Ohio, according to FOX 8.

The fire, which was burning in a trash can, broke out just after 1 a.m. Sunday, the station reported.

A bartender told police that Jarvis came running out of the bathroom to tell him about the blaze.

Surveillance camera footage helped lead police to Jarvis, who was arrested.

"I felt stressed because my apartment had recently caught on fire, and because of the death of Michael Jackson," she allegedly told authorities when asked why she'd set the blaze.

Jarvis appeared intoxicated at the time of her arrest and her speech was slurred, FOX 8 reported. She is awaiting an initial court appearance.

Jackson, 50, died on June 25 of heart failure.

Very true. Although I don't believe there is anything wrong with sleeping around I still think its amazing when someone chooses to wait for 'the one' (without being conceited about it of course and trying to force it on everyone like alot of religious people do), especially when its a man who believes in that and sticks to it, it's even more honourable

Yeah oh very honourable when "The One" = Terry George, Webster, Macaulay Culkin, Bubbles, Jordy Chandler etc etc

webster and culkin firmly deny that michael every did anything to them. Bubbles was a pet. So please, you have no idea what you are talking about. Besides this is not the time to discuss this. GO AWAY.
