I am shocked as they've never done this before. Sean Combs asked them to show MJ some respect at this time, while reporting about MJ on their station, as their is plenty of time for negative stuff. I applaud Sean Combs and Alicia Keys for saying that. Joe Jackson, MJ's Dad, is at the BET Awards tonight, so this will be an emotional show, when they do the tribute.[Edited 6/28/09 16:52pm] | |

I agree even this pre-show seems strange maybe it would've been better for BET to keep their original programming and do a separate tribute show, this sould either turn into a good show or a disaster. all I am hearing is SHOUT OUT TO MJ ...RIP...when none of these younger artist mentioned him before so it's going to become the thing to say from now on. Yeah, I thought it was interesting that CNN was covering it, too. I need to watch a reputable station cover it, because BET is a HOT mess.
