say what u will, but those are the 3 SUPERNOVAS, no other act has burned brighter, and probably never will again.

I am inclined agree with this. They defined their respective eras pretty well.

If there was a second list, I would say Little Richard/Chuck Berry/Ray Charles (Elvis), Stevie Wonder/Marvin Gaye/Rolling Stones(The Beatles) and Prince (MJ)

Apologies 2 PRINCE - u came close with Purple Rain. .

Those other artists are great and legendary, BUT - didn't have the kind of hysteria associated with ELVIS, THE BEATLES or MJ - people fainting, crying, just the whole global impact that they had sets them apart as more than just great rock & roll artists, and put them into an almost untouchable PHENOMENAL category.

PRINCE and MADONNA are awesome as well - ICONIC, LEGENDARY, and instantly identifiable with the 80s, at the peak of their powers, like MJ - but MJ was still just that step above, I'm not saying he was better and what have u, but
obviously had that extra something that put him in2 orbit, and as Berry Gordy said, never came down.
