Candi Staton was on TBN for a while doing gospel and putting out albums. The last I heard she was over seas making a fortune on singing! She is a very beautiful lady. I love her secular music as the christians called it.

My favorite songs from her are "Music speaks louder than words" and her rendition of "Take my hand precious lord", just amazing vocals on those tracks.

I love Candi's disco era releases, but she was also one of the early Soul singers, when she was married to Clarence Carter.

I remember Candi having a relationship with Wilson Pickett (or was it, my mind's kinda blurry over reading Candi's bio online).
