Which version of this song do you prefer?



I'm more familiar with the New Birth version, but Mr. Womack's is just as groovy..

I'm stumped too.

But I'm gonna go on a whim and say...

BOBBY'S!

I'm feeling New Birth's version a little more.. the way the horns punch whenever Leslie Wilson sings, "I can understand it!" And the stop/starts!

Bobby's feels a little more homespun and there's nothing wrong with that. But, I love the "polish" New Birth put on it.

i've always liked new birth's version a lil' mo' better. i love the fact that bobby made it fonky, but the new birth version is the troof.

I do love the part where everything stops and the members go BABY BABY BABAY!!!

No doubt their version is great tho.
