Oooh, I swear if I see Diddy's (Puffy, Puff Daddy, P.Diddy Pop Pop, whatever the hell he wants to call himself today) or Chris Brown's ass walking down the street, I will totally start throwing rocks and whatever else I can find that is light enough for me to throw at them. Seriously, this is how upset I am with this nonsense. I won't listen to it and it's very seldom that my cheap ass turns down free shit, but this just seems soo disrespectful and wrong to me. Michael made some of the best music in the history of recorded sound and they wanna go and make up a song with Diddy's wack ass and Chris 'I like biting people' Brown. Boyz II Men, if they weren't so amazing they would be on my shitlist with these two nuccas, but they are definitely grounded right now as is The Game. Diddy has always been on my shitlist; but now, he's offically at number 1, where he will stay until he dies. Thanks for sharing Dannyd and I'm not mad at you at all, but these fake ass muthafuckas have got my blood pressure all up with this delve into wackness. Okay, end of rant, and close.

Thanks. The last thing I wanna do is upset someone which is why I posted "for those interested". Honestly, if Boyz II Men weren't on it I think I may have passed it by too. But they did a good job with "One Sweet Day" and that's what I was expecting. I'm not gonna say it's terrible but MJ does deserve better for sure.

nod I adore 'One Sweet Day' and 'Colors of Love' so I can't stay mad at Boyz II Men because I think they are phenomenal, but Diddy disbelief That dude will do anything for publicity and I'm sick of his face. This is the song I'm dedicating to him, Chris, and all those media douchebags who choose to focus on the negative aspects of his life more than the positive ones:

Nice gesture but I ain't about to listen to that mundane shit. Sorry.

That's what I thought when I heard it. The intention is nice but I'm not feelin' it. Michael is more deserving than this. Throwing Chris Brown on it doesn't help either. Too little too soon as well. We're still processing his death and there's a song out? Can you give us a moment before you attack our ears?
Thank you. What a rush job. I'll wait on something that feels inspired. When I read this I was like, damn, did the family release a statement yet even?

And yes, Chris Brown fans are totally campaigning for him to now be the "next Michael Jackson" or "closest thing to Michael Jackson!!" so he can perform a tribute at tomorrow's BET Awards and have "a big comeback." As if Chris Brown is this next generation's MJ. LMAO!!!

It's best to play MJ songs as a tribute. The only tribute song I dug was "Missing You" and probably "A Song for Donny" (and "Silky Soul") but that's it.

And find three of the suckiest artists of "hip-hop and R&B" to do it. Yeah that's genius. rolleyes

diana's missing you? Everytime I sang that, though it's for marvin, I always thought of michael. I performed it a few months ago and sang better than ever in public, and I usually don't like what I do. And it's scary, but I'm watching myself and thinking of michael the whole time.

Diddy is always on it huh? It was such a turn off when he took The police Missing you song and turn it to a ego trip.

Dancing or diddy-boping as we like to call it in the video. And Chris, Am i the only person who thinks he can't sing lol

lol Personally, I have no problem telling who's who on a collaboration rap track. I can always tell when Ludacris is on a song because he has such a distinct rapping voice and style (love him mushy )...same goes for Eminem, Dr. Dre, Common, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg (I think anyone would know Snoop), Lil Wayne, and yes, even Diddy's wack ass (mostly because he usually sucks). I don't know how I can distinguish who is who really, because I don't really buy or listen to alot of rap, but it's just not hard for me to distinguish who is on a track before I hear the names mentioned. It's an enigma really.

Yeah, they were trying to be the first. I don't care how accessible studio equipment is now days, give us a moment! No wonder it's so lame. Sounds like a rush job. And you know Diddy had to get up in there. confused

nod I think that's why I'm soo offended and disgusted by this. It may be a free download, but they are also getting free publicity, which in this day and age, can be worth millions in itself at some point. The fact that it's such a rush job is something else that pisses me off. Do they not know anything about Michael Jackson? Michael never rushed anything that he did when it came to his music. His music videos alone were not half-ass production, like this drivel, so it's really insulting that they wouldn't consider that when they decided to head into the studio to 'pay tribute' to a fallen icon. Completely uncalled for and unacceptable to me.

If they had made a video like Aaliyah's 'I Miss You' or Luther's 'Dance With My Father', I would have no problem praising and respecting them, but they had to get their ego's stroked I guess and be pompous, arrogent jerks. I really couldn't stand Beyonce and Daddy Knowles back in the day but then they did the 'Dance With My Father' video. After they did that enchanting father/daughter dance in the video, I respected them soo much. She didn't sing and they both looked so humble and beautiful together that it touched my heart so much that I called my dad during the video's premiere and told him how much I loved him while crying at the same time. They got my respect for that and I can never completely hate either of them because of that video. This song lacks humility, which is what Michael always seemed to exude to me and it's sad that they didn't think about that before jumping the gun and doing this. Michael deserved soo much better than this. Just my twocents

Oh Lord, these shit hoppers are trying to get some publicity for themselves. If they really want to honor Michael, they need to get the hell out of the way and let somebody with some musical talent make a jam. It's because of shit hop trash like them, that Michael and so many others that actaully know how to throwdown aren't on top any more.

I actually liked the song in a way....it gets me very sad in parts, but then anything can related to Mike at the moment. However, I seem to be the only one who likes it, which worries me....I don't mind that it is a rap song, and listening to it musically strikes a sad chord in me automatically.

One thing I don’t get is why Chris Brown is on it, with all his legal problems - who would want a tribute song, whether official or not, involve an artist with obvious and high-profile legal trouble, especially of the kind that Brown has. This is further compounded by the fact that Chris Brown did the MJ tribute in the past - I don’t like how the media cold use that as further negative fodder as they compare MJ and Chris Brown (not that they should be compared mind you).

As for The Game, and P Diddy- were they close to MJ at all? and 50 cent? However, I realise that is not important, as so few fans will have met MJ and are nevertheless heart-broken, and so, it is quite reasonable that the same can and does occur with pop stars who never met him.

I think refs to "Puff" and "50" in the song are not needed.

and why the reference to Outkast's Miss Jackson?

I don't mind Diddy/ talk/rap, but, whilst it's not terrific, but not terrible, bit cheesy maybe.

Now, what I do like are certain comments, namely:

"I'm Michael Jackson, you're Michael Jackson, everybody Michael Jackson...I guess what I'm asking is everybody bow for a legend"

"MJ was my nig**r, not the one with the ball but the Hollywood star"

"this is the song that the angels cry, look up in the sky and I wonder why, why you had to go, go and now it's better on the other side....chosen from the start....I’m never gonna let you go"

Maybe any tribute song will get me going at the moment....

On another note - please please no official tribute song from Beyonce...

Unneccessary, and perhaps offensive term too - agreed.
I realise no-one else likes it so I shall shut up about this one now.

I will go and watch my dangerous dvd instead. I used to have a video tape of that, Watched it most days for years while i was growing up. wore that tape right out.
