at 17:53 on June 26, 2009, EDT. By THE CANADIAN PRESS LOS ANGELES - ABC News is quoting a Los Angeles police source as saying Michael Jackson was addicted to painkillers, and was given an injection of Demoral one hour before he died. A law enforcement official briefed on the pop star's death tells ABC that Jackson was heavily addicted to the painkiller OxyContin and received daily doses of the drug as well as Demerol. Investigators want to talk to Jackson's personal physician who was with him when paramedics arrived, though they say he's not a suspect. His car was towed from Jackson's rented home. Jackson died Thursday at the UCLA Medical Center. His brother Jermaine says it's believed he had a cardiac arrest. An autopsy was done on Jackson on Friday, but it would be weeks before toxicology tests are completed. After Jackson was acquitted on child molestation charges in 2005, prosecutors argued against returning to Jackson items including syringes, the drug Demerol and prescriptions for various drugs, mainly antibiotics, in different people's names. ©The Canadian Press, 2009 Yup...and the spookiest thing is that there's a song about the exact thing that happened 2 him Lyrics http://www.allmichaeljack...phine.html ... Trust in me Just in me Put all your trust in me You're doin' morphine Go'on babe Relax This won't hurt you Before I put it in Close your eyes and count to ten Don't cry I won't convert you There's no need to dismay Close your eyes and drift away Demerol Demerol Oh God he's taking Demerol Demerol Demerol Oh God he's taking Demerol He's tried Hard to convince her To be over what he had Today he wants it twice as bad Don't cry I won't resent you Yesterday you had his trust Today he's taking twice as much Demerol Demerol Oh God he's taking Demerol Hee-hee-hee Demerol Demerol Oh my Oh God it's Demerol [Edited 6/26/09 22:46pm] Holy shit, I thought this was a fake song until I went to the link. I never listen to the Blood on the Dance floor album...except for title song. Man that's deep and real sad. So Lisa Marie was right about him predicting his death [Edited 6/27/09 6:06am]

I´ll never feel the butterflies in my stomach whever I saw him on TV. I´ll never feel that kind of excitement over any other new music or video being released. I loved him the way I never loved anyone and I so much wanted him to see him grow old watching his kids grow up. His life may have been full of troubles and pain, but I´ve always seen that piecefullness and calmness in him despite everything. I loved listening and reading his every word. To me, he was the wisest man alive. He always moved me the way noone else did. I must say that no matter how great of an artist he was and how much I loved his art, I loved him even more as a person. MICHAEL.. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. I was never an MJ fan, all the 'king of pop' rubbish was just silly, he was a very talented artist, but there is no best in music, people have different likes and dislikes.
Its a shame the way his life panned out, he's paid a heavy price for being a talented musician and a child star, he never had a 'real' life, he was exploited and used by people all his life, he created allot of his own problems as well. I feel sorry for his kids, hopefully now his kids will have a 'normal' life and not end up in the goldfish bowl all their life like Michael was. As for Prince remembering Jackson/attending funerals etc, Prince should do what he thinks is correct for him, no one on here knows what MJ and Prince's relationship was, all we know is they had met, discussed recording together etc, but their ego's were just too big for anything like that ever to happen !! lots of people will be exploiting MJ's memory saying what they knew, how he was etc, Prince will not do that, I'm sure what Prince does will be in private to MJ's family, so if we do not 'hear' anything in the tabloids, it doesn't mean Prince has ignored MJ's death.

He's running around in pain, probably pumping painkillers himeself instead of getting his hips fixed. He looked very gaunt (ala slave era) in those photos with Patty and Mariah. Prince is pretty human when you don't expect it...this probable shocked the crap out of him. His contemporary gone...just like that...man so sad. He better start taking care of himself. I'm gonna be brave and not shed tears for the brother. MJ wouldn't have wanted that, I'm sure. MJ wanted us to dance. He made music to make us get down with our bad selves. And that's how I want to remember him. He came into my life to make me dance to his great music and put a smile on my face as well as millions of others around the world.

Even though I didn't consider myself a Michael Jackson fanatic, I was suprised how sad the news about his passing made me feel.
I will always remember him for the good he did for mankind. After all he was one of the important entertainers who was able to cross race barriers. Michael was loved all over the world and Michael loved people all over the world. I will never forget how aware he made people with songs like "man in the mirror" or how he brought the greatest entertainers together for "USA for Africa" Nobody could unite people like Michael did and I believe that was his mission here on earth. Regardless of what kind of demons he had to fight in his personal life, I will always love and respect him for the love that he gave and for his talent that he shared with the world. It is my believe that God decided to take his tormented soul home so he could finally rest in peace, surrounded by God's everlasting love. All that is left for me to do is mourn his passing and pray for forgiveness whenever I was quick to judge Michael. I am forever greatful for his music and the love that he so freely shared with everbody. love the one who is Love!

Out of all the tributes and videos played over the last 48 hours, the most remarkable was actually on the local news. They dug out of the archive the news report when MJ performed at Leeds on the Bad Tour. They played some rare footage of Wanna Be Startin Something and Heartbreak Hotel. And even now, when watching it, I had that feeling of excitement - on Heartbreak Hotel he almost moonwalked forwards and then spun and stopped in time for one of the verses - quite incredible. And just watching that you realised how talented and extraordinary he was and why I was such a big fan. [Edited 6/27/09 8:03am]

Riverpoet31 said: The thing that most strikes me, is how people here are whining about his death, when he simply was a child molestor.
There is no excuse for that: a bad childhood, so? He could have seeked help So, when musicians have done nice and/or important things, you 'forgive' their faults automatically? Rick James and his wife have kidnapped another woman, and have abused her. Still I see people defending Rick James here. Michael Jackson has let little boys sleep in his bed, and did also abuse them. His kids are all white, and are event his own kids. When he wasnt Michael Jackson, but simply Jake or Hank living around the corner, you would have condemed these men for child abuse. But since it is Michael Jackson: the one who kept whining about his bad youth, his non-existing skin disease, all the lies about his plastic surgery, all the empty victim-behaviour, you keep defending that moron. That is what is called: hypocrisy, and by defending that overrated, creepy child molestor, you try to maintain some superficial fairytale, when you should be ashamed about yourself. While I admire someone who isn't afraid and stands up for their opinion, I admire someone even more who knows the appropriate time to speak it. I, myself, have talked about his antics in the last decade or so but I was a fan of his music long before he began those antics and those antics don't change all that old great music that I grew up with. I'm not even going to bring up or even debate any of his antics because this isn't the appropriate time to do so. When I have, in the past, it was appropriate because he was still living. And yes, it will be appropriate to discuss and debate these antics in the future. Why is this time inappropriate? Because the man just died and isn't even in the ground yet. I don't see myself as being a hypocrit and I'll tell you why. To bring up and argue Michael Jackson's antics during this time isn't hurting Michael Jackson (not that I would want to), it's hurting his fans on this board. There are a lot of hardcore Michael Jackson fans on this board and a lot of them love and discuss a lot of other great artists on this board, not just Michael Jackson. A lot of them seem to be nice and wonderful people and I consider a lot of them as online friends. Why would I want to hurt them especially when they just lost their favorite entertainer that means so much to them? Hell, even I have lost a man that made some great music that I grew up with. But nevermind me, why would you want to hurt them? Does every one of your friends or family members agree with and have the same exact tastes and views that you have? I'm sure they don't but you still like them don't you and wouldn't want to hurt them. What you are doing right now is not simply voicing your opinion because there will definately be an appropriate time and place for that in the future. What you are doing right now is kicking people while they are down and that's not a strong person at all, it's an incredibly weak one. . . . [Edited 6/27/09 8:55am] Andy is a four letter word.

Was Michael doing well at the rehearsals as some say or was he lethargic. I'm getting mixed reports. If he was doing well and in relative good health then this is really hard to take. Was he really having chest pains after the rehearsals? If so, it was probably too much for him.

There's far less psychological research value in trying to find out why a group of individuals feel saddened over the death of a famous person, whose music they have loved for a very long time, than in trying to understand the psychological motivations of an individual who feels the need to point out others how delusional and hypocritical they are at the most inappropriate time.

When i heard the stories about him performing 50 concerts in the O2, I was immediately thinking: He can't handle that, he is too confused and out of touch to deal with it it. He either died of stress, or its was an attempt at suicide. I have to believe that I could not imagine MJ getting old. I always thought he would die at a young age. And to be honest - it's only consequently. It will manifest his myth. Now he's a legend. This untimely death is the perfect cinematic ending for a sad, sad life. From where I stand, his life didn't seem that sad. Sure, he had problems and drama like most of us, but his was amplified more because of the media. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Let's not even speak of the days when he attended those court sessions on a daily basis - unfortunately so many of the pictures used in the current pieces in the press and on the internet have chosen to use some of those pictures of him when he looked the weakest.

What you are doing right now is kicking people while they are down and that's not a strong person at all, it's an incredibly weak one. . . . I think when a person states things like "the reason why I always keep sunglasses in the public, because I am crying all the time" he cannot necessarily be the happiest person in the world. History (disc 2) did not sound like one big happy record either, and that was his by far most personal work. Even to the level that many could not relate to it all. Let's not even speak of the days when he attended those court sessions on a daily basis - unfortunately so many of the pictures used in the current pieces in the press and on the internet have chosen to use some of those pictures of him when he looked the weakest. He said in his autobiography that someone asked him if he was happy. He went on to say that he is one of the lonlinest people on earth. Man, the price of fame.

Probably to hide the case that he overdosed. It is bizarre to see that people rather keep believing some fairytale story, then to simply admit MJ was a mental wreck, a mentally disturbed fellow who just couldnt cope with the idea of delivering 50 concerts. If he did od, it was because the doctor gave him the medication. I feel that he died from the doctor giving him too much demoral. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
