Does the Top 100 list have to be all solo or can it include J5 and Jacksons songs?

Ah yeah his cover of Brenda Holloway's joint... nod A part of me wished he had covered Marvin and Diana's "Dark Side of the World", he could surely had recorded it if Motown gave it to him...then again he might've had to be in Detroit to do it. confused

can some uber-fan with extensive trivial knowledge of MJ's discography (radio promos, etc.) tell me if there are radio edits of the following songs:

Dirty Diana (3:59)
Give In To Me (4:07)
Butterflies (3:57)

because from the tracklist i posted farther above, I have versions that I got off some Michael/Janet Direct Connect hub years ago. they're on some obscure CD-R somewhere buried in my storage unit, and I haven't seen them anywhere else online or listed in any discography/remixography, so I'm wondering if they were fan-made or if they're real.

anyone know? also... anyone have a link to any online discography with information that getes down to that level of detail?

thanks.

I did that last night.

Thriller is a great album.

BUT.

Imagine if the the final versions of PYT, The Girl Is Mine and Baby Be Mine were closer to the demos. It would be even greater! I'd never heard the BBM demo until last night. It was a revelation on par with hearing the PYT demo for the first time. drool

really? because aside from the super-corny, yet endearing sap of The Girl Is Mine, PYT and BBM are almost always skips for me.

You must've missed my top 100. I love that song. "PYT" was #13, making it my 3rd favorite on the album behind "Human Nature" and "Billie Jean," just ahead of "Beat It" and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'."

You people hate on this mutha, but its one of my all time fav Jacko tracks. Listen to those dx7 presets. Heaven! The great bouncy feel this track has. It sounds like it could come from those cheesy kids movies of the 80's. The song (and album "bad" for the most part), is so stuck in the 80's and this song inparticular makes me feel so warm and nostalgic. Love it. You just know the whole "bad" album must of cost a bomb. Look at all the session guys for starters. And all the then very new hi tech synths etc... You just feel every penny was money well spent, and it shows on "just good friends" aswell.

Look at the people on synths: Michael Boddicker, Rhett Lawrence, Greg Phillingaines etc...Love it!

It's funny, but even though the song is really not that good, it does kinda make me smile. lol

I think its well written enough. Its a fun "story" and Stevies solo is ace! Miles better then "the girl is mine", which is unintentionally funny (the "talk" at the end LOL). But its equally about the hi-tech production aswell.

For a long time this song didn't appeal that much to me, but now I really like it. As you said it has a nice bouncy feel. Really cheerful with nice flow.

I love how Stevie sings 'So Even If She's Asking You
To Stay '
That and Michael's part which leads to the baby loves me verses is catchy
And so is the intro with the nananana.

Yes, for me the final PYT stomps all over the demo. More dynamic vocals, great energy and incredibly catchy.
demo is way too slow and there's nothing memorable.

Invincible has some very good songs: "Butterflies," "Heaven Can Wait," "You Rock My World," and especially "Whatever Happens." That's more than enough to put it ahead of Victory.

I'll take the cornball sap of "The Girl Is Mine" over "Just Good Friends" any day. It's just bad. Worst song on the album, I think, and it only made it because it was a duet with Stevie. They always talk about "Streetwalker" being bumped for "Another Part Of Me" when they just could have put both on and left of JGF
