He used to be. He got disfellowshipped (Ex-Communicated) back in the 80's. I wonder if there is gonna be a Jehovah's Witness funeral. His mother and Sister Rebbie are still JW's I'm in the mood for love...simply because your near me.

MJ left the JW faith sometime in 1985 or 1986. I believe it was just before BAD was released, which was 1987. It had nothing to do with BAD, just establishing a time line.

He sure won't ...it would be nice if he would break the mode for once in his life and just say that he's sorry that he passed away, or something, since they came out ((well, Mike became really big around the 80's when Prince became big)) around the same time, and people compare them a lot. Not saying that he has to cry on national television or anything, but at least say 'I'm sorry he's gone' 'May Jehovah be with his family', or something. I know he's not obligated to say anything, but it would nice, just to show that he's human, has feelings (which I seriously doubt sometimes). I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness, and the number 1 thing that I was taught, is to show love to your fellow brothers and sisters, etc. Won't expect a word from him. I'm really not too crazy about Prince nowadays ((I like his music, well, not his recent stuff))...the only reason I'm still on this fan-site is because of his fans and his ex:bandmates ex: Wendy and Lisa, that's it. Yeah, either he got disfellowshipped or he left the faith, etc. He left. They were giving him issue when he released the "Thriller" album, and it's partly why he put a disclaimer at the beginning of the video. The other part being that he was faithful to the JW religion and didn't want the video to be confused with his religious beliefs. Let's remember that even through 1983/4/5 he dressed in disguise and went door to door once a week w/ friends, to do missionary work in different neighborhoods. However, I think once he grew up and got out of the Jackson family box a bit more, then he left the faith out on his own. Janet eventually did the same thing. She talked about never having a birthday party before, and she had one for the first time when she was 30 or something like that.

See...I always heard from people here @ the Hall, (I know you can't believe everything you hear) that it was actually both...that he got disassociated, and that he eventually left.
