I realized that I had a premonition that MJ was going to die 2 weeks ago. After reading stuff on the org and what's been going on in his life up to now, I had a feeling he would pass on soon and with that I could feel the sadness. In fairness, I was concern about the possibility that Michael was dying since the mid-90's. I say that because his health problem (counting the controversial skin-disorder) was getting worse each passing year.

it's really really hard for me to be watching videos of him in his prime. and especially as a child, when he was so young and innocent and his talent was just raw and pure. Thinking back, he brought so much fun into my youth. Singing and dancing to his tunes, watching the videos, teaching myself to moonwalk in the livingroom, rollerskating

I liked what John Mayer said:
Michael Jackson, like James Brown and Prince, are nearly uncoverable. The tunes were about his innate talent and can't really be replicated. Elizabeth Taylor said she is too devastating to comment. I was wondering how'd she take this...his mother, Janet and Elizabeth were the people that came to mind as soon as the news sunk in. "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..."

Every time the radio or tv newscasters blare out "Michael Jackson, dead at age 50!" my heart sinks all over again. I thought reality had hit me about this but each time I hear that blunt statement about his death today, it still sounds unreal, like it can't be true. I keep waiting for somebody to say "Oh no, we were mistaken, he's fine."
It's still so unbelievable to me, and I'm actually a little taken aback by how deeply this is affecting me.

I told you and JackieBlue, it's not the kind of love fans have for a rock star, but it's a GENUINE love, like a best friend, and that's how I feel today. I feel like I lost my best friend and the more I think about it, the tears keep coming... I hear you boo and I completely understand. Just two weeks ago I had a friend and her four kids over for dinner and I put on Michael Jackson's music. One of her sons, who is 17, went WILD and started dancing around the living room like he was MJ. After I finished laughing at his silly butt, all I coulds think was "Wow, Michael Jackson's music is STILL connecting with the youth after all these years." The man's gift was powerful and timeless and will be with us for a long time.

You're so right...Michael Jackson helped define the 80s and there's no way in my mind I could ever separate those years, or my life, from what he contributed. to you on this sad day Yeah, see? I'm 41 too. We were the perfect age when Thriller came out. Yep, we sure were. I'm so thankful I was that age then and fortunate enough to experience those days and that time firsthand.

I always wondered how MJ would deal when Liz passed but think that it's the other way around. I think when I see Katherine and Janet for the first time my bawling will finally commence. I saw that shit. What the fuck is wrong with news agencies? For shame. I'll tell ya, I found my own self shaking my head in disapproval today as ET showed "exclusive" pics of MJ being loaded onto the ambulance as he died. Then I got to thinking... Why is it that when it's soldiers and images of war or crime we fight for full disclosure from the media. That the news give us ALL and not hold back on us. But when it's a celebrity or someone that we can put a name to the face it's so terribly and disgustingly disrespectful and heartless? All I can come up with is the news is gonna do what the news does. We can't have it both ways. Sad? Yes. Should they run pics if they want? IMO,Yes. Can we turn the channel, or click off the website or not buy the publication? YES.

Copycat said: Quincy Jones Remembers Michael Jackson: Quincy Jones, founder of VIBE and the iconic producer of Michael Jackson’s 1978’s Off The Wall (Epic), 1982’s Thriller (Epic) and 1986’s Bad (Epic), has made a statement on the singer’s passing. Said Jones, “I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words. Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80’s. To this day, the music we created together on “Off The Wall,” “Thriller” and “Bad” is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication. He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.”
