very, very true. it's like, if you weren't into michael back in the '80s, you most likely knew a friend or two who were huge fans of the man. michael mania was damn near inescapable back then!  i had a michael jackson doll, me and my nieces used to watch the "thriller" video on mtv every halloween...wow.I wanted that poster of him in the white sweater and yellow shirt so bad! My mother wouldn't buy it for me 'cause the liquor store that had it for sale jacked the price up to 20 bucks. I begged and pleaded but she wouldn't do it She bought me a smaller different Michael Jackson poster for about 4 bucks i think instead I had this pink Huffy bike with the banana seat. And I'd stuck MJ stickers all over the bike and the seat | |

I had to sedate myself before I could return to this post. I am taking this news extremely hard. I have loved Michael Jackson since a young child to this day. My chest continues to tighten up thinking about this. Unlike Farrah Fawcett, no one saw this comming. I was completely blindsided. Rest in Peace, Michael Jackson. my boyfriend, i love him dearly, has just royally pissed me the fuck off. i'm telling him how i feel, that i feel absolutely sick about this and he's like "well he was just an entertainer, people die everyday, why is he so special that the media is blowing this up when there are people who die everyday of all sorts of ages?" i was in awe, how the fuck can you not understand the impact that this man has had on the world? i told him i'd call him later and hung up because he was being a major asshole.
