Fair enough. But Michael's music is still here!

Just like Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, Johnny Cash, James Brown, and even 2pac are resting in peace, their music is still here on Earth. Michael will never be forgotten because his music is still here on Earth as well. Remember that.

everything sounds so much like Elvis' death. soo sad, i can't even call my friends and family to let them know.

It really does. In fact the way it's reported is MUCH LIKE the way Elvis' death was first reported. Ironically when they found Elvis, he had undergone cardiac arrest and people had to keep the media from reporting it because reporting about Elvis was like reporting Big Foot, he, like MJ, had become an enigma so reporting about him was headline news.

So when his death was first announced, some people said he was in a coma, then they said he had chest pains. Finally that afternoon, they confirmed the news that Elvis had left the world at 42.

And now I'm seeing the same reporting on Michael's demise.

And I'm hearing some guy on cnn saying how the idiots around michael were pumping him with pills, now that's not a reporter saying that, it's a friend of the family. But still, for rumours like that to come out this soon, i don't know. and if i forgot to say it before, michael I love you, you gave me great inspiration as an artist.

OFF-TOPIC: Barry White lived longer, and he died at 53(?). Rick James died at 50-something as well. disbelief

Barry was 58.
Rick was 56. Only Ray Charles was older (73).

Thanks for correct me. I can't think straight when I'm in tears!

You're hung up on the word "reports:"? seriously? so if CNN doesn't say he's dead then he's not dead? It's not like they can go look at the body.

But here is the granddaddy of news ASSOCIATED PRESS and they say he is dead.

AP Source: Michael Jackson dies in LA hospital

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted "King of Pop" who emerged from childhood superstardom to become the entertainment world's most influential singer and dancer before his life and career deteriorated in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. He was 50.

You don't need to be nasty okay.

Nobody is being nasty. You replied to my post saying that CNN hadn't confirmed it and then like 15 seconds later they worded it to your satisfaction. I just found it odd that everyone on here is accepting that he is dead and grieving and you responded to my post like it was some all out misinformation and it really wasn't. A report of death from CNN is as good as a confirmation of death from CNN IMHO. That's all.

I had 2 tell people at work, and it wasn't on the news yet.

Home now, just played side one of 'Off The Wall' LOUD. Next was "PYT", "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'", and "Baby Be Mine" from 'Thriller'.

It was vinyl, and loud.

Listen 2 "workin' Day & Night" from 'Off The Wall' as soon as U can.

Sad, tragic, and this will have serious global impact.
