If this rumor is true,then good for Janet.It's about time that she wakes up and takes "control" of her own life and career.Jermaine is part of the reason why her last three albums flopped.He tried to turn her intro an urban R&B princess but it didn't work.

Urban radio doesn't make as big of a deal about turning 40, and Urban AC certainly doesn't care about Janet being in her 40's. Janet made the mistake of rarely ever catering to Urban AC, and started catering more and more to CHR/Pop and shying away from Urban as she got older, and so now she struggles to amass any significant airplay.

The only way Janet is going to get a substantial hit again is by releasing a song that appeals to Urban and Urban-leaning Rhythmic stations and by getting a hit there first before trying to crossover to Top 40 and Rhythmic OR by releasing a track that appeals to all three formats immediately.
